Fire Devastates Four Homes in Ang Thong, Caused by Suspected Electrical Short Circuit
Picture from responders. A fire broke out in a residential area in Pa Mok Subdistrict, Ang Thong Province, on December 4, quickly spreading to engulf multiple homes within minutes. The blaze resulted in extensive damage to four houses, but fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported. At around 13:00 the Provincial Police Operations Centre in Ang Thong received a report of a house fire in the Pa Mok Municipality area, specifically in Moo 3, Pa Mok Subdistrict. In response, local firefighting teams were dispatched immediately to the scene, where they found that three raised wooden houses had been completely destroyed, and a two-story residence had suffered partial damage. The fire spread rapidly due to the dry conditions and the presence of flammable materials, as the affected homes were involved in the business of making curtains and interior fabric items. Firefighters from Pa Mok Municipality, along with teams from surrounding local authorities, worked together to contain the fire. It took approximately an hour to bring the situation fully under control. An initial investigation suggests that the cause of the fire may have been an electrical short circuit, though this remains under investigation. In the aftermath of the incident, Ang Thong Deputy Governor Chawanin Wongsthitjirakarn, who was acting on behalf of the Governor, arrived at the scene to oversee the response efforts. Accompanied by the Pa Mok District Chief, the Mayor of Pa Mok, and relevant agencies, they coordinated the establishment of an emergency assistance centre for those affected by the fire. Additionally, the Ang Thong Red Cross was contacted to provide urgent aid to the victims. Local authorities are continuing to assess the situation and provide support to those who have been impacted by this event. -- 2024-12-05 -

My Thai Girlfriend Wants Breast Implants. Should I Approve?
Fake breasts are gross. I won't even watch porn when the actress has implants. I realize you say she wants them, but remember, a man's IQ varies inversely with the size of breast he prefers. -

Warning Signs: The Looming Collapse of a Critical Ocean System
I disagree on the nuking. I think even the most stupid leader knows that a nuclear war kills us all, even them. I do agree that those born today will not die of old age. Pollution, dead oceans, burnt forests, drought and lack of potable water will likely kill many, followed by most in the water wars, and by plague. Meanwhile the mobs carry on, wittering about the latest apple phone ( people actually pay $2,000 for a phone now, gasp ) or the latest Beyonce warbling, or the latest footballer scandal, and ignoring that the planet is in crisis, not because of IMO fake MMCC, but simply from overpopulation, from which all our problems ensue. Baaaaah. -

Worker Severely Injured in Trailer Truck Incident in Sriracha
Picture from responders. A Cambodian worker was severely injured after falling and getting his leg caught under a trailer truck’s wheel, which subsequently reversed and ran over him. The incident occurred at around 11:00 on December 4, at a parking lot in Surasak Subdistrict, Sriracha District, Chonburi Province. Rescue personnel from the Sawang Prateep Foundation in Sriracha were dispatched to the scene upon receiving a report of the accident. At the scene, 36-year-old Mr. Psor Chhuon, a Cambodian national, was found with a severely deformed and fractured left leg caused by the truck’s wheel. Rescue workers provided immediate first aid before transporting him to Somdet Boromrajthevi Hospital in Sriracha for further treatment. According to a co-worker, identified only as Mr. Dee, the incident happened while they were unloading items from a shipping container. Mr. Chhuon reportedly lost his footing, causing his leg to slip under the truck’s wheel just as the 18-wheeler began reversing. Mr. Dee quickly intervened to assist his injured colleague and immediately contacted emergency responders. The authorities are investigating the incident to determine if any negligence was involved and to prevent similar occurrences in the future. -- 2024-12-05 -
