American Man in Critical Condition After Self-Inflicted Knife Wounds in Pattaya
It's not easy trying to talk someone down from the ground. -

American Man Arrested for Robbing Donation Box Outside Pattaya Police Station
That well may be true but I would never go as low as you Americans and steal from disabled children. -

Helen Mirren Criticizes James Bond Franchise for Its Deep-Rooted Sexism
I actually quite liked Roger Moore. Sure, he was a bit ham but I thought it added a slightly more comedic tone and Live and Let Die for example was a great movie. It's only a matter of time before they have a black/gay/female Bond who is neurotic/neurodivergent or whatever, at which point I'd imagine the franchise will die off. -

Bangkok Building Collapse Sets Unwanted World Records
Yes I agree with and it has been mentioned before, right from the day it happened in fact. But folks are all too busy playing the 'blame the Thai' game to take any notice. If you watch the video in the link at 1:12, it is quite clear that the collapse started at the top of the building, just as you have suggested. https://edition.cnn.com/2025/03/28/world/video/bangkok-building-collapse-myanmar-earthquake-digvid -

Naval Academy Moves to End Diversity Policies in Admissions and Library Holdings
Tell the diversity issue to Dory Miller or all those returning US military who fought in WW I, WW II only return to voter literacy tests (hmm, might discuss the need for this applied to all voters), Jim Crow Laws and lynchings. Yes, authoritarian dictates are the most effective governing in the short term. Criticize the government policy and we will arrest, deport you. Does make me ponder ... and I am an American. -

If a president of a superpower wanted to destroy his own country, what steps would he take?
I am no expert in finance, but my guess is any decline is likely short term, not long term. And I base this assertion on the tech companies. Tesla will soon be the largest company in the world BY FAR. Microsoft has a multi-billion dollar project in the works. There are just way too many tech giants in the US for any serious long-term decline.
