Oh. I thought you worked for United Healthcare and had insider information.

So to you that article justifies him being shot in the back of the head by the coward who couldn’t look him in the eye.

Leftists certainly are a nutter bunch.

Taylor Lorenz is an idiot.

But we must thank her for perfectly encapsulating the hate and vitriol of the woke, #bekind leftists.

We saw it after the Trump assassination attempts as well. The "joy" that they feel is often the result of the suffering of others.

It certainly was a sick statement from her. No wonder she was fired.

Ironic, isn't it, that someone who was born into wealth and privilege should care about the struggles of those less fortunate than himself, whereas someone who actually grew up in a much more regular, working class environment would help perpetuate, and actually glorify the inequality and unfairness of the system that pays him millions of dollars whilst killing thousands and putting thousands more into poverty.

I asked another poster this question, and they did not answer. Who did Brian Thompson kill? This whole bogus "the system" argument is idiotic frankly.

Thompson had a fiduciary responsibility to his company owners and shareholders.  Is there any evidence of him being convicted of any crime? If not, then pipe down.

Are you suggesting the decisions made by corporate managers don’t ever result in deaths amongst customers of their goods and services?

In the event that they do, ‘fiduciary responsibility’ is no defense.

This is a tragically terrible misinterpretation of the facts, this has absolutely nothing to do with woke. I despise woke, I despise PC, this is not what this is about. You know what this is about? This is about the middle class feeling disenfranchised and bitter, this is about people working their entire lives and having very little to show for it. This is about claims being denied that break families financially. This is about banks and lenders and rating agencies  making terrible mistakes and guys like Tim Geithner, Blankenship, and Dimon, acting like vampires during a housing crisis. This is about subhuman beings like the Purdue family getting away with killing tens of thousands of people through the opioid crisis. And the Big Pharma mafia. And the predatory insurance industry denying absolutely reasonable claims and putting people in the poor house as a result. Corporations can continue to behave a irresponsibly, and price gouge all they want, but there has to be an understanding that there will eventually be a price to be paid.

This is only the beginning, you watch, people are going to get more and more angry and these guys at the top of the totem pole do not have immunity. The average guy feels like a CEO has no right to earn 1,000 or 2,000 times more than he does, and the anger is just going to grow.

This has nothing to do with woke, and this has everything to do with anger and resentment. Some people with frightfully conventional minds just cannot wrap their mediocre minds around the fact that there isn't more sympathy for this guy. Just because he's a dad we're supposed to feel bad? Please. What did he do for his community besides suck their blood?

Alleged.

Post his conviction.

You have nothing.

I guarantee the coward will be convicted.

I don’t know if you are aware, but the presumption of innocence and the right to a trial are reserved for living people.

And yet you can’t produce any credible evidence that the killer is a left winger.

Don't forget, us Democrats are responsible for all evils in the world, we are the ones who drink the blood of babies in the basements of pizza parlors, all serial killers are Democrats, most people who are serving life sentences in prison are Democrats. There are very few Republicans in this world that are bad people, all the problems are being caused by us, and don't forget the part about us being communist, anti-American, and traitors.

More than that, how many times have you read statements in this forum from right wingers espousing vigilante justice or foretelling the coming ‘uprising’ amongst the guys in the ‘we’ve got all the guns’ camp?

Even the idea that this killer was a hero to the left omits the obvious fact that people across the political spectrum responded ‘positively’ to his act of vigilante justice.

   That's isn't quite correct .

There are more than  a few  terrible Republicans as well .

I can count at least six, from the top of my head

I'm utterly indifferent to the fates of these two, Thompson and Mangione. I am interested in abolishing health insurance, prohibiting health care from being anything other than a non-profit business, providing free, yes, free, care to citizens, and prohibiting all non-citizens from anything but pay as they go services.

Nothing is free.

Who do you think subsidises the research and development of new drugs, and who foots the bill when it turns out to be useless. You personally, the public, the tax payers or the drug companies?

Do you believe that all the people working for drug companies from the CEO down to the cleaners should work for nothing, so that YOU can have something for nothing.

If the National health service is free in the UK, why does it need a budget of £181.7 billion?

AI Overview

The National Health Service (NHS) in England's annual budget for 2022/23 was £181.7 billion. The majority of this spending, £171.8 billion, was on day-to-day items like medicines and staff salaries.

But the funding of the NHS comes from government funding, which means the taxpayers, so I repeat,

Nothing is free.

I do believe you'll gripe about anything. Yes, free. Just like roads and highways are/used to be free. But of course to build and maintain them  comes from taxes. Do you really think half a million American citizens should be thrown into bankruptcy to pay for the right to live through adequate medical care?

You can’t figure that out yet?  Birds of the same feather flock together.

Once again you resort to personal attacks, simply because you can’t provide any credible evidence to back the baseless claims you make.

Which kind of demolishes the veracity of every statement you make, including your personal attacks.

He is a leftist.  Just like he’s guilty of cold blooded murder.  Sure, we’ll wait for the official announcement after due process.

The intelligent ones (myself included) don’t need a jury to decide.  The writing is on the wall.

Others, as yourself can’t figure it out even if it smacks you upside the head.

Why is it when someone doesn’t agree with you you automatically go into “personal attack” mode?

You’re a leftist and so is he.  Birds of the same feather flock together.

Now specifically, what was the “attack”?
