Chiang Mai /Rai visit . Any recommendations for Mountain view hotels

Featured Replies

We often visit  the far north this time of year

Have you got any recommendations for hotels with great mountain views around the 2-3000 baht price range anywhere in Chiang mai or Chiang rai area

Looking at Mai rim which looks amazing, Is there other areas which have similar or better views?

Usually stay close to the main attractions like the temples in Chiang mai/rai but now we have walked around them a dozen times prefer to have a hotel with a better view.

Take a peek at Mon Jam, though may want to avoid weekend.

You really need to go to the north, immediately after the rains stop, or just before, and any break with be clear skies, very nice views.  Actually why we travel mostly during rainy season.

Now, nice views might be a problem, any AQI near or 100+, I wouldn't expect much ...

We were over at Mae Chaem area earlier in the year, and was nice.  Cut through Doi Inthanon park area to get there.  Took alternate route back, also nice.
