Off with his hands.
Why anyone would risk 200k worth of valuables by dangling them around their neck and flaunt them for all to see, especially in Pattaya, is beyond me. It often is associated with Indian tourists. Looking for trouble but each to their own.

Yes very true.

But some AN posters with very high post counts.

just don't understand that.

Apparently you should be able to do that.

Not sure what planet that would be on.

Maybe planet Utopia or planet Dream on.

Budget air travel has a lot to answer for.

Loads of low IQ males arriving here now and not leaving.

I hope Thailand makes it much harder for these types to stay longer term which I have heard is in the pipeline now that COVID is over.

you are joking right? The DTV is just a dental appointment away and there is your 5 years in kingdom

You often times like the make an effort to simplify things this particular situation is not one that is deserving of oversimplification.

The large growth of the United States’ criminal legal system in the late 20th century brought a widening racial gap in incarceration. By the year 2000, Black people made up almost half of the state prison population but only about 13% of the U.S.2 population. And although a wave of changes to sentencing and corrections policies over the past two decades has helped lessen disparities in federal and state prisons, black adults still were imprisoned in 2020 at five times the rate for white adults.

In 2022, Black people made up 12% of the local populations but 26% of the jail populations on average across the 595 jails from the JDI sample for which race data was available for the entire year. Of these jails, in almost 71% (421), the share of the jail population that was Black was at least twice that of the locality as a whole. (See Figure 1.) And the disparity was much greater in some jurisdictions: In more than 2 in 5 of those 421 jails (41%), Black people made up at least four times as much of the jail population as of the local general population.

https://www.pewtrusts.org/en/research-and-analysis/issue-briefs/2023/05/racial-disparities-persist-in-many-us-jails

So one must ask do black people commit more crimes than white people? I don't think so but I sure think that white judges are much more likely to lock up black men than they are white men, there's no doubt that there's still a significant amount of systemic racism in the US.

I have black friends and Hispanic friends in the US, and I've driven with them and I've seen how they're treated differently by the police that I am.

Nonsense.

I am happy Phuket is now a lot more expensive to visit and live in than Chav-city (Pattaya), all the shirtless tattoo-covered rif-raf can not afford to come here so go to Pattaya instead.

It seems like they have been replaced by neatly dressed respectable wealthy Russian couples as I suppose they also want to stay away from such people.

As my old Ozzie mate agreed, Pattaya has always atracted a lot of bottom-feeders, s---heads, such places do.

31 and snatching chains?  A complete, abject failure in life.  Deported, hopefully sooner than later.

A, 5 stretch in a Thai prison, would help him to see the error of his ways.

It allows those that need it to maximise their ability to look down on someone.

Note that "tattooed, idiot, tourist" contains three adjectives used to denote inferiority to the user.  Tattooed: tattoos are bad, the user doesn't have tattoos so is better.  Idiot: being an idiot is bad, the views himself as not being an idiot, so is better.  Tourist: being a tourist is bad because the user has a long-term visa and knows Thailand better, so is better.

I visited Pattaya in 2019 as I was having a house built in Rayong just for a day trip.

Not my cup of tea, a lot of chavs were out and about, but never again.

Note the use of the gun by the copper on the left.

They really are a bunch of cowards at heart.

Lock the thieving knob-head up for the full 5 year term, plus the THB 100,000 baht fine, and dont release him untill it is paid in full! Then Deportation an blacklist him for life!

Maybe then he will re-consider his actions in the future...

In my humble opinion, all police officers, everywhere should be armed with at least a Taser, but preferably a Glock, or something equaly as lethal, with a safety feature such as: https://smartgun.com/ to prevent someone stealing it and using it on the legal owner.

Plus the death penalty should automatically apply the anyone (male / female) who knowingly takes another persons life, ie Murder!

Or is convicted as a Pedophile!

But that is a discussion for another day...

Lots of young lowlifes from the UK coming to Thailand since weed was legalised. Weed is still illegal in the UK and plenty there are making money from this. Also the visa rules now have made it easier to stay a lot longer and they will do anything to not have to come back to the UK.  Can’t really blame them for that tbf

Ok transman.

Can you tell me , would you wear one of your 3  tiaras down beach road pattaya.

or would just wear it on special occasions at private functions.

Or even the Big-C,  on say Tuesdays.

Do you think there is,  a time and a place to show off your wealth ?

Some people wore their gold necklaces their whole adult life without taking them off even during bathtime. Especially if it holds the amulets.
ok , the only time I saw my Thai friend took off his necklace was during his soapy massage.

I'd think tasers would be more practical in tourist areas for police.

Appropriate if an unarmed suspect is resisting arrest, certainly.

However, this suspect was not resisting and was clearly unarmed, therefore no force necessary.

I think some of these finer points need to be explained to the American members, as we know what an absolute mess it is over there with their own Police farce.

I have mentioned before. I asked an Indian about this. He said they do not trust leaving valuables in their hotel room.. many go cheap or share, Then there is some obligation to show off ones wealth....

I'm living on Phratamnak hills and have made the exact same observation; far between the half-naked drunkards that roam Buakhao. That said; the few heavily tattooed [prison tattoos?] Russians in the local gym looks far more scary than their counterparts inked-up to support [I guess] their local football club and isn't to scar what tattoos are about?

Just a guy with a low IQ. The tattoos prove that. 5 years jail then deport.
