Meeting Between Elon Musk and Reform UK Sparks Futher Speculation of $100 Million Donation

Reform UK’s finance chief, Nick Candy, is reportedly set to meet Elon Musk, fueling speculation that the world’s richest man might contribute $100 million to Nigel Farage’s political party. The potential donation, if realized, could dramatically reshape the political landscape in Britain, although it has already sparked concerns about foreign influence on UK politics.

Nick Candy, a property tycoon who recently joined Reform UK as its Treasurer, has committed £1 million of his own funds to the party and is actively seeking additional backing from wealthy business figures. According to Candy, Musk might be one of those high-profile contributors, with rumors swirling about his interest in supporting the growing political force.

Candy has hinted that Musk, who owns the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) and is known for his outspoken political views, "would like to help" Reform UK. The billionaire has previously been critical of Labour leader Keir Starmer and has shown interest in the party’s progress on X. Candy noted Musk's political influence in the United States, where the tech mogul has played a role in galvanizing support for figures like Donald Trump.

"Elon’s managed to do an incredible job for President-elect Trump, and he’s sort of changed the political spectrum in America," Candy said in an interview. "He knows how to get things done. I want to understand how he got those people out in Pennsylvania. I want to learn from him."

While Candy stopped short of confirming any scheduled meeting, he strongly hinted at a potential collaboration, stating, "You might be seeing something soon on that." He declined to provide further details about whether he would travel to the United States to meet Musk, emphasizing the need to keep certain discussions private.

Nigel Farage, the leader of Reform UK, has denied any knowledge of Musk’s potential involvement but made it clear that the party would welcome financial support. "If money were offered, we will take it," Farage said.

Candy also highlighted the rapid growth of Reform UK's membership base, suggesting it may soon surpass the Conservative Party’s reported 130,000 members. "The oldest political party in this country... will be overtaken in members by the newest political party in this country – and that is mind-blowing," he said.

Despite the enthusiasm surrounding a possible Musk contribution, critics have raised concerns about the implications of foreign influence on British politics. Candy dismissed these criticisms, arguing that any donations would adhere to legal regulations. He pointed out that Musk could contribute through his UK-registered companies, such as Tesla or X, stating, "We would like him to help... I would like him to help."

The prospect of a $100 million influx could significantly boost Reform UK’s standing, particularly as it seeks to expand its influence and climb in the polls. Insiders from rival parties acknowledge that funding on this scale could be a game-changer, potentially elevating Reform UK to new levels of political prominence.

While I would love it to happen, just to see Queer Starmer's face when he heard the news, I think that such donations from foreigners opens up a can of worms we don't need.

Even if genuine, allegations of buying influence would abound.

That saying "You don't get something for nothing" rings a warning bell here..

We need all the help we can get removing Labour ASAP. They are damaging the country at an alarming rate.

Labour will only removed by an election.

What other help do you think you need?

The last revolution was in the 17th century, so - depending on your point of view - we've either got revolution out of our system and it won't happen or another one is overdue.

I hope Elon can help Farage rescue and reinforce British voters decision on

Bexit that Starmer is hell bent on destroying.

Previously i never rated Farage but now i see him as a viable and creditable  Threat to both Labour and Conservatives in UK politics.

Surely the voters for Brexit don’t need a foreigner reinforcing their decision.

If the benefits of Brexit have shown up they won’t need any more convincing.

’Warn sunlit uplands’ and all that.

I think what we need is the cream of the Conservatives to move to Reform and for the Tories to fold. The fake conservative simps like Rory Stewart can crawl off to Labour cap in hand, if they'll have him.

No more split right wing vote. Reform vs Labour. Reform will clean up, especially with Musk funding the election campaign and Starmer being the most hated man in Britain.

The UK under Farage and the US under Trump sailing off together into the sunset, leaning to the right. Leaving the EU to be crushed by China and breaking up, returning sovereignty to the great, proud European nations like Italy, Spain, France etc.

But it needs to happen at the next election. Other Starmer will destroy the UK economy and blame it all on Brexit and the Tories, despite the UK economy being in decent shape before Labour came in and the Farmer Harmer Starmer handed the purse strings to Rachel from accounts.

The next US election will take place before the next UK election.

Your Trump Farage fantasy is just that.

Labour are well aware of this so their solution is to cancel the next local elections so they do not lose to reform.

Can't be removed if you don't have elections eh?  Wonder what their plan is to prevent the next general election.  I think a war would do it.

Check the current Government’s majority Parliament.

I see you are not a fan of governments being voted into/out of office in elections.

Sore loser perhaps.

Labour are reorganizing boundaries, local elections do not bring about a change in National Government.

What’s this scheme you think they have in mind for the next general election?

Funny how all the leftists on here were screaming about Trump destroying Democracy but are now supporting Labour cancelling local elections.

Like always, the left are exactly what they accuse you of being.

If you have enough money there are plenty of politicians than can be bought to give you mostly anything you want.

Musk has enough money to buy a lot.

I am pretty sure that is really not a great idea for the ultra rich to buy off country after country to expand their empires or desire to rule the world.

Starmer is not going to take the UK back into the EU, the leaving of which was the only thing the referendum called for.

Starmer does not have to call a General Election till 2029. That is a long way off. That is the reality.

Removing them might not be that easy. They have almost five years to do what they need to stop that.

The only good thing is every time Starmer's goons, and the thoughts and feeling police haul someone in for questioning over a perceived, real or fake slight, that person, their spouses, families, and perhaps friends, will likely turn against Labour  and remember it come election time. The Police aren't coming out of this too well either.

What do you know of George Soros?  What funding organizations? Basically you spit out a false statement that you crafted to support your malicious biased mindset. George is going on 95 years of age.  What do you know of the life of a 95 year old in declining health? The man has not been active in politics since his 80's.

When Iran, Russia and China try to influence elections we call them foreign agent saboteurs. Musk is no different. He is a foreigner and should not be interfering in the UK  political process. He is a foreign agent.
