Starmer Races to Secure Trade Deal and Avoid Trump’s Tariffs
Many of us thought that Trump was unhinged, unstable and at least partially insane, but the last two months have proven that theory to a startling degree. His latest threats to put a 200% tariff on imported wine from Europe is so spectacularly dumb, so phenomenally ignorant, and so devoid of reason and common sense. It could cost the US tens of billions of dollars in lost revenue, the wine industry in the US is very dynamic and the domestic industry is just a small part of it. The entire industry is intertwined, a concept that Trump's tiny brain could never comprehend. -

Democrats Face Backlash for Supporting Arrested Palestinian Activist Mahmoud Khalil
Alarming that you think this applies even when the group being supported is a designated terrorist organisation; not however surprising, because despite being an American, you appear to be anti-American, in fact, anti-Western civilisation, and vehemently pro-Islam. You seem happy to continually prioritise defending the rights of terrorist supporters, against the interests, security, and welfare of ordinary American citizens; that such an excellent education system can produce somebody with your ideologies should be a warning to us all. Yes, I think all laws regarding free speech should not consider the topic or group that is the subject of that free speech. Free speech is free speech. It should not be subject to topic or content unless it advocates doing something illegal. I am an American and a US citizen. While there certainly are some things I dislike about the US, America, and Western civilization, I would not consider myself "anti-" any of those. I am not pro-Islam. You could, in fact, label me as anti-religion, but that factor does not affect my remarks here, although at times, I do point out the invalidity of some of the claims of the Jewish people. The people you call "terrorist supporters" are also "ordinary American (US) citizens." They have the right to express their opinion, as long as they follow rules and laws and are not inciting violence. Also, you, like all Hamas detractors, fail to see that these current militant actions are just another chapter in at least a 70-year-long war between Isreal and Palestine in which Isreal is trying to annex all of Palestine and Palestinians are trying to prevent them from doing that. I'm sure my views were, in part, a result of my education. At least I'd like to think so. In any event, my views now (far-left liberal) are what they are, and I do not expect them to change. -

My Gboard is configured for English, Thai, German. No problem. The phones have a whole lot of languages for the user interface. What a change to my early years of mobile phones. -

Is Thailand’s healthcare more affordable than in the West?
Whether pharmaceuticals are cheaper is a mixed bag. Generally name brand drugs that can be purchased from a private pharmacy will be cheaper in Thailand but deeper discounts on generic drugs can be found in the West. Cancer drugs in particular are horrifically expensive in Thailand.
