Here's what happens when the world's richest man buys the presidency
More like Canadian dollars and not USD's. -

Why all the negativity?
Lovely, we got a bar-boy/cat-boy bromance going on now. I think the most satisfying thing about this whole thread is all the other people confirming that the only one who believes Colin is not Bob is Bob himself. The other thing that's for sure is that the only part of Bob's windups that aren't fiction is the fact that he dislikes all the other posters here on AN, as well as the locals, the Russians, the tourists, and everybody else who's spoiling his own little corner of paradise. 😂 -

Progressive Lens Prescription
I have had multi-focal lenses for many years, one pair from KT Optic using Essilor lenses were almost Bht 30k. Then used the same prescription several times at Zenni. Having to always look out of the top part of the lenses to watch telly when in bed, or when driving, I ordered some single long distance specs from Zenni. Absolutely perfect, and now I can do almost everything using just these, even read my phone. I suspect some of the Chains say you need progressive lenses to get more money in. -

If you're too stupid to learn from history, you are destined to repeat it.
IMO democracy and pretending to do what the people want is a new thing in human history and given the way the liberals have messed up big time and created disaster, it's not going to be around for much longer. -

How Has Thailand’s New Income Tax Law Affected Your Spending Habits?
If worldwide income taxation ever goes into effect, then 6 months elsewhere may be beneficial for some. I'd be looking at minimum US$10,000 tax liability to Thailand, each and every year. Just two years of Thai tax payments would buy a decent condo in Cambodia. With the current change in interpretation, we're putting off major purchases until we know how this will be implemented next year. Now only bringing in savings within TEDA amount, spending down Thai bank accounts, and will get a couple more years use out of the Hilux with 400k on the clock. -

Death of Ratchaburi Teacher/Tik Toker Hit by Train While Filming on Chulalongkorn Bridge
The incident is very sad and an awful way to die, not to mention the drama of the family left behind and the horrible experience for the conductor. But at the same time, one must say the guy really wasn't very smart. However, about your last statement: the deceased was a youtuber, an activity which apart from impressing friends does in fact bring in money from sponsors and ads -if successful. The really top ones (not this poor guy obviously) have billions of views (yes, 1000s millions) and rack in tens of millions dollars per year. Welcome to the brainwashing power of the internet.
