Here's what happens when the world's richest man buys the presidency
How? It never has been the best of anything apart from blowing it's own Trump(et)! 😀 -

What's a just OK not great not horrible holiday tip amount for condo doorman, etc.
Some people can't seem to help bragging when it comes to Thais/Thailand. I guess there's no point in being the "big man" if you cannot boast about it. 🙄 -

Do you think the insurance companies charge us "farang" price for the health insurance?
Yes, next question. They charge Farang prices in Farangland also. (when was the last time you got a free house, free money, free insurance, etc in your home country?) Thailand is just more open about it. -

I'm not splitting any hairs. To not do something kind, does not mean that someone is being unkind. 🤷♂️ I disagree. Choosing to give a gift to someone at a special time for you is very much showing a level of fondness or affection. Unless you give Christmas gifts to random strangers (which I doubt that you do). You show kindness, you feel good, it has meaning. As I said, Thais have a time when they might give gifts to people, if they don't give a gift to you, when you have given a gift to them previously, it clearly has meaning. They don't think the same way about you as you do about them. (And you not knowing when Thais give gifts, doesn't mean it isn't the case.) If you want to be in a one-sided relationship, that is up to you, but to deny it is somewhat pointless. Are you? Do you need me not to reply so that you "win"? 🙄 -

Bangkok universities...MBA program reviews?
My son is thinking about getting his MBA in Bangkok (USA citizen and undergrad degree soon). I've done lots of research and found a few in Bangkok that offer what appears to be decent tri-semester programs for international students in English. However some are part time, and require work experience first. But I would like to chat with anyone that has personal experience or find independent resources that review/rank these universities. I haven't been able to find anything reliable yet. Out list includes: Assumption, Stamford, AIT, NIDA, Chulalongkorn, SIAM, Bangkok U. Some of their websites are lacking information so we await responses to emails. Chulalongkorn has the Sasin school but seems outrageously expensive. Their website implied there is another MBA program there however (but waiting for clarification). We will continue to look for info/videos, etc, online but welcome thoughts and experiences. Thanks. -

Masayoshi Son pledges $100 Billion investment.
On a side note more on topic: Ballsy move to pledge 320% of your net worth. -

Masayoshi Son pledges $100 Billion investment.
I'd say hide-and-watch on this 1. Trump's smart enough to add a 51% American Ownership clause. It would be a REALLY nice start IF they combined the amazing robotics tech from Japan, equipped with AI that could sample/scan soil, ground water and surface water and produce, non-partisan, non-political, non-everything but factual data about contaminates, impurities, 'tired soil' (over farmed, improper crop rotation), sources and mandatory solutions. That Farm Package congress is trying to pass by attaching it to the budget ($428B would cover our 51% and then some). Anyway, $100B AND full access to ALL tech and data from Son and $428B with full access to all tech and data from our government (after proper vetting). There are 100 ghost towns just in the wide open prairie of the US. Land is $100 an acre. Could build the manufacturing and research facilities right where they're going to be used. -

Giving Up Weed
I quit 6 months ago because I realized for me it was making my life less satisfying. Had some fun experiences but daily use became less stimulating and not being as aware became tedious. Some enjoy the release that zoning out brings but most of the time I like to experience the moment in more clarity. I still drink but for some reason I'm much more aware when drinking. You stated weed is addictive but it wasn't for me. Just stopped one day and easily moved on. Many benefits to weed: Not really addictive, people are generally not aggressive, better deal with a stoned driver vs. a drunk one, no beer belly, and much cheaper than alcohol...
