I'm still alive but the left side of my face is still numb, I don't have the balance to climb a ladder and the fatigue has me taking a nap every day, since the day after my 2nd Pfizer.  That matters, too.

And my friends who opted out of the jabs?  They're still alive, too.  With none of the side effects.

... With none of the side effects YET.

But I do hope that the resilience of your friends is sufficient to withstand the mRNA assault on their immune system/health.

Shedding is going to be an interesting research topic in the coming years.  But I haven't seen enough to be convinced it's a danger.  Yet.

No matter what sort of tripe Tall John Guy in BKK flexes.

I am impressed that he takes his time to post scientifically based information contrary to what "the other side" posts. Surely, his post will not convert any of the anti-vaccine guys, but I am sure that if anyone in doubt reads this and other threads, they can clearly judge which posters are living in a sane world and which have succumbed to conspiracy theories.

OMG….I thought it was a joke too.   That article you link to is downright Orwellian when reading the comments by the students.  Un-****ing-believable.

Remember the photos & vids, once out of 'lockdown', grandparents in bubble suits, or behind a plastic wall, hugging the grandkid .... F'g Sheeple :cheesy:

“Reason to Smile”

complete with a snorkel.

And the whole time, our dear leaders were laughing at us while having dinner at French Laundry.

I ignored every recommendation, and simply practiced a bit of social distancing, no more than I would during normal flu season.

No mask, no vax, no lockdown, and got chastised on this & local forum for my thoughts.  To the point I should be jailed and or killed for reckless endangerment ... :cheesy:

Even the local PoPo could care less and didn't enforce any of the silliness, as use to wave and or a head nod as they drove past me, almost daily as I walked the dog surfside.   Since the local park of choice was closed.

Same week they announced provincial lock down, no unnecessary travel, we were out the door.   Two years of bliss playing tourist all around TH.

Only wore a mask to get inside 7-11 & Makro :coffee1:  Along with the overly packed BTS/MRT if at Krung Thep.  Just a cloth mask that did even less than medical masks, or worse, in cool season, wore my cold weather, wind blocking mask, that actually had holes in it to breathe easily, so it wouldn't frost up, since made for freezing weather.

It was the same for me.  I had the most wonderful time driving the Maehongson loop, a month in Krabi, trips to Huahin etc.

All the while people wanting me to be jailed, denied all healthcare…even as you say, to the point of wishing death upon us. (As I mentioned to you in a previous thread about my reason for disowning my woke sister/niece). I wouldn’t doubt that there were many on this forum who would have gladly put a bullet in my head.

A lot depends on where you were during the height of the pandemic.

I found the most compelling information (primary sources) came from the Reddit Hermann Cain Awards discussion.

I wore a mask, because that's the only way I was allowed to buy my groceries.

As always in Thailand the way how rules were enforced differed immensely from one area to another.  In some areas the Police didn't care whether you wore a mask or not, and in other areas they put up road block checks and when driving a motorcycle you had to take off your full-face helmet, resulting in a fine when you were not wearing a mask under it!

Such obvious ridiculous rules either triggered the rebel in you or the Compliancy Theorist

As of now, the Yale scientists plan to publish their study on an unreviewed pre-print server.

Shirley, that's where all credible, nobel prize winning papers are found!

I thought that they had a checkpoint driving onto Phuket where vaccination status was checked.  I guess that wasn’t the case?

Nope, surprisingly.

Only checkpoint we stopped at, was on some really small back road, along Phetchaburi costal road, and not even the main rd.  Like they had nothing better to do.  Bizarre, and had hand held thermometer gun, pointed at forehead, then waved on 🙄.  Looked like a bunch of old ladies from a PTA in brown uniforms.

And we literally drove around the whole country a few times.  First week, April 2020 ?, read hwy 4 was closed except for mandatory travel.  So we did a tester, down along the coast, real nice day out, crossed over into Chumphon, the came back up from Chumphon to Pkk, as figured they couldn't stop us from going home.   Not one check point.  With that we packed ... and gone.

Had a rotation, 2 weeks on road, a week home, then repeat.  Only came back, as house #3 was being built, and that took 18 months 🙄

The only checkpoint I encountered was on the road between Tak and Mae Sariang.  And it was staffed by clowns.  Literally.
