Taxi driver is not such the hard man now he doesn't have 4 of his mates to back him up.

Though ...if it had been the other way around and the taxi driver attacking the farang ...the apologists do gooders would of said the farang provoked him

But the taxi driver would have had his mate ( and weapons ) with them - fact.

So because he was going to a weed shop it must be the weed that made him do it. So by the same logic if he had been going to a restaurant it must be the food that made him do it ?

I would really love to see some scientific evidence of weed alone making someone violent.

In 1980 I had a co-worker in the towing business that was a major pot smoker. I always could tell when he couldn't find nothing to smoke because he was a total prick. But the nicest guy when stoned. I Don't need science to prove there is withdrawal issues.

It's those damned drugs again.

No doubt this is a case of marijuana withdrawal - - > aggression.

Taxi guy should sue the Euro's backside off.

marijuana does not have withdrawal symptoms, it is not physically addictive.

Seriously?! You should get a job in Thai media helping the government close down the weed trade.

He's been involved in that before, has he?  When did he and four others beat someone?

Did you ever think that maybe he was just a prick from the start and the weed turned him into a reasonable human being?

And yes, I'll take science over 'one guy in the towing business'...

The foreigner must have been provoked.

That's how it works, amirite?

Definitely,

Because unprovoked violence never happens in Thailand.

The taxi driver deserves full cooperation from the police... do their duty to serve the public.

You tell them, I am sure they are listening.

Ever since I first came here in 1980, I've never had a taxi driver who would go as far as sticking around & opening a door for me. The CCTV footage shows what happened inside, maybe theirs a little more to add that happened prior to this outside.

Not alcohol. More likely he was coming off of something stronger or was high as hell on meth and needed to come down.
