Trump’s Transition Team Eyes Swift WHO Exit, Sparking Global Health Concerns

"From sometime in the middle of December, the president began to be told that I had some authority to reject or return votes back to the states,"

First time I believe that the US should follow Trump!

Pence has said Trump went beyond asking him to pause the count for an audit and urged him to reject the Biden electors outright, in the hopes of tipping the election in Trump's favor.

Come on Kamala step up. Just do what Trump has previously asked for, no one can complain, comes straight from Trump.

Reject the counts!

What's the worst that could happen? Another 4 years of Trump? Bah.

I agree. Why should the US have to be the biggest supporter when it’s for the World. They will still get the news, just without a bill. Stay in and contribute 5% and let the rest of the world make up the difference. It can be done, they just don’t want to do it.

I didn't know how much was being talking about here, so I did a quick search.  https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/who-funding-by-country

The United States is expected to contribute approximately $220 million to the WHO during the newest budget cycle. In addition, China is expected to contribute approximately $115 million. The other countries that are expected to contribute significant amounts of money to the World Health Organization include Japan, which should contribute approximately $82 million, Germany, which should contribute approximately $58 million, and Britain, which should contribute approximately $44 million. There are numerous other countries that will contribute small amounts of money to the World Health Organization as well.

I'm not sure saving $220m is a game changer for the USA, I'm sure there are better & bigger savings out there?  In the DC swamp perhaps?

The UK pays £44m, 20% of the USA's contribution.   The UK's GDP is estimated to be about 12% of the USA (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(nominal)), so by this measure the UK is paying too much, or the USA too little.  The whole thing seems a mess of hypocrisy and fluff.

I'd propose that the US and other countries threaten to quit the WHO unless it ups its game, and reduces management & other overheads, corruption and anyone using them as a cover for any illegal activities.

Another great move by Trump. The WHO is a corrupt, lying organization.

Wish it would have been the UN

Nothing happened in 2020, do you mean January 2021, when also nothing happened apart from President Biden being sworn in as expected.

What are the Leftists goin to say when the truth comes out.

Good move....if they are going to fund those tax cuts for the wealthy.

Since they pay all the taxes, they should. Bet you have never filed a US Tax return have you?

The USA and China should be contributing the most since it may have been their biodefense/offense experiments that led to Covid.

In March of 2017, the Associated Press reported that the World Health Organization spent more for the travel of 7,000 staffers than it did for countering malaria, tuberculosis, fighting AIDS and hepatitis, and on tackling mental health and substance abuse. The agency is simultaneously demanding its budget be increased as it doesn’t seem to have enough money to fulfill its healthcare-providing role.

Speaking for myself, a person that isn't wealthy, I would rather tear down these types of organizations and start building organizations that represent society as a whole.  For example, a USA democratic party that truly represents the normal American would garner my interest.

Trump to me is the best thing that has happened in decades and I think he can be a dipshttt.  We might be able to rid our society of this woke insaneness and begin creating a better society.  Could care less if liberals or conservatives take the lead.

Not only USA but worldwide. This election was a major turning point in history, and could have saved the west from destruction

Trump's new health policy, eat more fast food, and only processed food, the government will give credits to citizens who purchase fast food.

Increase obesity

Raise profits for the medical industry

Lower longevity.

Trump health 101.

What were liberals doing about obesity and poor health other than promoting pharmaceutical remedies.  My health 101 - get healthy.

I  remember on this forum that if you even hinted that healthy people were rarely having Covid issues, you were chased incessantly by vaccine is the savior crowd.  I just want to be able to have an opinion that isn't popular and not be slammed by internet tyrants.
