If we can't invade Greenland can we do a minor incursion or is that a big fat "don't"?

Could try to persuade the Cubans to have a go....bit chilly for them though.

Apparently, previous Trump administration officials have reported that Trump's obsession with Greenland was first inspired by his idiocy about how it is pictured on MAPS.. Greenland appears as massively LARGER than it actually is on MAPS and it's well known that Mr. Trump is fixated with BIGLY stuff. Obviously for a bizarre egoist like Trump having the legacy of grabbing such a GIANT chunk of land would be very pleasing to him. The most powerful man in the world to be -- Americans voted for this MADNESS.  Embarassing to say the least.

Why do maps show Greenland so big?

The reason maps show Greenland so big is due to the use of the Mercator projection. This map projection stretches the areas near the poles, making them appear larger than they actually are. Greenland, being located near the North Pole, is significantly distorted and appears much larger on maps than it actually is.

I think he wants the Panama Canal back, probably more useful for the US Navy than any Greenland dreams.......

I doubt he wants Greenland for anything other than denying it to China. It's not as though it's got oil or anything like that, or does it?

Trump have created so much uncertainty everywhere with his ideological speeches all over the place, and it is hard to believe he actually saying the words coming out of his mouth.

He is totally insane.

I doubt Trump thinks before opening his mouth and letting his brain fall out. IMO that is why he is popular, because he's just like most of us. Most of us say stupid things from time to time too.

Insane? No more than most people, IMO. Believing there are more than 2 genders is pretty insane and lots of people believe in that.

Not sure how Trump's possible verbal annexations of different countries can be a possibility, doesn't he need Senate approval ? that could be a tough one........

Well going to war is supposed to involve an act of congress, but that has been ignored by U.S. presidents for a very long time. A hostile annexation of Greenland would be an act of war against NATO ally Denmark. As far as the funding for wars, that does need buy in from the house.

Can someone please explain to me why, in god's name, Trump thinks that "for national security and freedom the ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity"? 🤔🤪🫣🥱

One of his closest advisors, in a musky voice, cooed

"Mr. President, we cannot allow a permafrost gap!"

Because oil or something like it are the only valuable substances to come out of the ground?

Given Trump's enthusiastic embrace of fossil fuels, even coal, I think Trump's actual policy would be "We cannot allow permafrost!"
