..”.   anyone for whom money has any form of influence on friendship is not a friend, of course, everyone knows this“

Have you passed your precious knowledge on to the Thais?

No need, they know how to spot a nobhead...  as do I...  your comment above makes it so simple !!!

You all, especially you, are little more than disorganised grabasstic bits and bytes, I wouldnt even know if anybody here exists and dont much care.

This is the internet, not real life.

It's quite interesting that people think it appropriate to judge others based on their behaviour on this forum, when they themselves appear to troll others to such an extent that, if they were to do so in real life, it would look quite similar to goading someone as if trying to provoke a fight.

I sincerely hope Transam doesn't behave offline as he does on this forum, he'd either be completely friendless or getting his face punched daily.

You employ massage ladies? How many of them do you have working for you? Do the ones that provide a happy ending get paid more?

I employ massage ladies for massage. My GF provides happy endings.

My main massage lady is 62. When she is unavailable, she assigns one of the other women working in her shop to me.

or the extra large waistline?

Surely you don't ride a sleigh to work everyday, do you?

😄

only kidding buddy..

Waist 38 inches, what's yours?

Santa suits are too hot for this climate, and the reindeer would all have heat stroke.

“getting his face punched daily “

A wise and accurate statement.

Yes, in a neighbourly context....We all are friendly & help each other as needed.... I'm out walking the dog and the ladies like to stop & chat ....Some of them like to high 5 as we pass..... It's probably 2 for one ladies versus men in our Mubaan.....Most all are long term owners, many retired government - so not much turn over....

The men aren't that talkative but pass with greetings/nods/wave/wais ......

But , I wouldn't file all that in my definition of "friend"......

We do dine out a bit, but don't frequent clubs or much in the way of social circles, clubs, etc......

I'm more outgoing than my wife, but I'm not a glad hander,  work the room type.....

I guess we're happy with the way things are....

We own our home so it's unlikely much is going to change....

Less people, less drama & complications......

I've always been accepted just about everywhere I've been.....No burning need to be any different than I am......

So your knowledge isn’t so precious after all.

Tbe Thai certainly found a gullible knobhead to scam 5000 baht from.  Your friend, remember him?

Perhaps its time to take a breather & cut back.

Yeah often to each others for BBQ's, mostly after a morning out riding the bikes

I don't do bowling or go to pubs all that often, one does own a great Karaoke bar in Sriracha, thats always a great night out.

That's cool! I had Thai friends also before Covid but moved to a small tourist (Thias) town and now I have none 😞 Do you speak Thai?

I think you need to go back and read through what was posted...

It would appear that in your butt hurt haste to retaliate your reading comprehension has failed you as much as your comprehension of physics !!!

"anyone for whom money has any form of influence on friendship is not a friend, of course, everyone knows this".

Explanation:  When a new Thai friend wants to borrow money - they were never a friend in the first place...

That's not a tough one to understand - I'm not sure why you are struggling with it...

Would you like to tell me what you guys do together?

Do you go to each others houses, hang out down the pub, go bowling, do lunch or something else?

thanks.

Quite often have lunch, go to the pub at nights, invited to weddings, funerals, other social events etc.

Not so much go to each others houses, been, but not really to hang out, houses are mainly for extended families. I find Thailand houses are not set up well for that, it is more going to places, cheap and cheerful, plenty of easy options.

The term friend is used very loosely by many. I have 2 friends of almost 40 yrs, they're my brothers from another mother,

Not a struggle for me, sorry to disappoint.

You keep regurgitating the same nonsense.

Keep trying if it makes you happy.

Yeah, sounds like he is a bit full of himself.
saying they “work for me”.

I suppose his hairdresser, the girl at 7/11, the girl at the fuel pump, waitresses etc all “work for him” as well.

Right, it sounds like anyone he purchases either a service or a product from he seems to think either works for him or he employees. Deluded to say the least.

That goes for a lot of the UK. Many of them make American red necks seem like rocket scientists.

You've just used American Red-necks as a bench mark for stupidity to insult another nation...     hmmm   :whistling:

I never had any problems with this I have about 50 thai friends who's allways been nice to me.

I speak thai well makes it easier to understand echother.I been living in surin before.. allways safe there. That time i helped the local police to translate if they arrested a foreigner. They called me if they needed help about that.

I used to go to karaoke in prasat with my thai police friends. Many joinful nigths there where we allways ended up in a VIP room with some girls What happened there i will not tell here but it was funny times

I stayed away from farang bars there The last years i been in Bangkok and hua-hin and always feel safe.If thais in a bar start fighting echother i just leave quickly.
