I wonder if he was so blasé about it once he sobered up and realised the implications of his actions.

 

New Year's Eve in the monkey house will give him some time to reflect on what his future might look like after taking a life.  Unless he is a connected hi-so, in which case he might be out on bail.

Perhaps, he had just been waiting for some good opportunity to try out his newly-mastered KickBoxing skills he had picked up in Thailand.

 

Unfortunately, his First Flying Kick did not do the job, and as a result, the Japanese man was soon undone by his thoughtless intervention and lack of sufficient kick-boxing practice.

Thats exactly the BIG reason why all this <deleted> happens in REAL life.
Thai authorities are so STUPID to allow this on TV every single day. Saw it the first time I came to TH 32 years ago, still going on. It never changed... It is the authorities who are to blame !

I'd suggest the majority of us never carry a knife and I doubt the one the suspect had with him was of the Swiss Army variety.  I'll never understand why anyone feels the need to carry a knife. Tools belong in a tool box - not in your pocket when you're out for a drink.

You dont know what you are talking about, Knifes are good to carry, the other guy sees it and immediately gives up, unless his is bigger and he knows how to handle it. Everyone has a right to have one and self defend.

I used to carry a mine really nice 6" cold steel blade, but got confiscated many years ago. Around here in the south, everyone has one, my in laws and all have their 8" as sharp as a Gillette.

Oh well, did these folks forgot the memo....fighting after a night in  Thai Club does not end well?  Did the Japanese guy forget to mind his own business?  Was it his GF that the Brit/Thai was arguing with?  Did anyone scream for help that got the Japanese guy to try and play Batman?  No sympathy for More Runs who think they can fight and  win in this city.  Remember, there are some dangerous people coming here...some of them are killers, or will use whatever means necessary to not get killed in hand to hand combat.

Did you actually see men brutally beating women on the show? Was it a regular occurrence? 

 

You do not see this in the UK, as it is not culturally acceptable to regularly show men beating women on TV. 

 

There may be scenes of domestic violence, but it is dramatised to show it is unacceptable, which is not the case in Thailand, where it is regular, often validated and considered acceptable due to the victim 'cheating'. 

 

Thais are far more likely to mimic what they see on TV than people in the UK.
