Drug-Crazed Mother Takes Nine-Month-Old Hostage and Attacks Three-Year-Old Daughter
Picture courtesy of Workpoint. A shocking incident in Phetchabun province saw a drug-intoxicated mother take her nine-month-old baby hostage while also assaulting her three-year-old daughter. Authorities intervened swiftly, rescuing both children and taking the woman into custody for rehabilitation. The incident took place in Moo 2, Khok Prong subdistrict, Wichian Buri district. Reports indicate that the woman, under the influence of narcotics, became violent and endangered her young children. Emergency responders subdued her and transported her to Wichian Buri Hospital for drug rehabilitation. This case emerged as part of the ongoing “Re X-ray” operation, a nationwide drug crackdown under the Ministry of Interior’s “White Mahatthai” initiative. The operation targets drug users, dealers, and individuals with psychiatric conditions in high-risk areas. Authorities had been conducting searches in Bor Rang and Khok Prong subdistricts, ultimately leading to the successful rescue of the children and multiple arrests of drug offenders. The operation was led by Mr. Akkharadet Jitrat and Mr. Phamorntep Sriplang, security officers from the Wichian Buri District Office, alongside personnel from the Territorial Defence Volunteers Unit 6 and the Region 6 Investigation Division.
