Georgealbert Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Picture from responders. A fatal workplace incident occurred on January 6 at a company in Moo 6, Bueng Subdistrict, Si Racha District, Chonburi Province, claiming the life of a 22-year-old employee. Emergency services were alerted to the incident at 15:20. Upon arriving at the site, rescuers and medical personnel discovered the victim, identified as Mr Apisit Kulraksa, trapped beneath a heavy load that had fallen from a hand forklift. He had suffered severe crush injuries to his chest and was unconscious with no pulse. Rescue teams immediately, manually lifted and removed the load off the casualties and began life-saving procedures, including CPR and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Advanced medical support from Somdej Hospital’s emergency response team also provided assistance. Despite their combined efforts, Mr Kulraksa was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Initial reports suggest the load may not have been securely fastened, and the load toppled over slightly. The casualty then tried to push the load upright, when it fell fully onto him and pinned him to the floor. Mr Kulraksa’s body was transported to Laem Chabang Hospital for examination and legal procedures. The victim’s family has been notified, and the company has pledged to provide support during this difficult time. -- 2025-01-07 2
