You must be. You keep replying. Which again, strengthens my points. Look up the definition of assume. It's what you do all the time, and I mean ALL the time, and it's not a good thing to have as a habit.

Strange and annoying things.... some of the weird foreigners.

Thailand is worse off in every aspect other than no feminism. Laws not being enforced is a double edged sword

Yes, I agree. It's a wonderful place for misogynistic, opportunistic law dodgers.

Assuming again. And keep coming back, as it supports my claim.

Oh please there's no need to open up a "Pandora's box"

I actually had a work colleague say this to me yesterday, quite a interesting saying

Yes, the OP could have been thinking about you when he made the topic.

Naah...just weirdos who claim everyone else but themselves is narcissistic and insist that they are only on the forum to help. I am yet to see them helping anyone on this forum.

I see only self aggrandisement, but no evidence of the qualities that they like to assert are endemic to themselves.

Go on, show me the posts that are helpful to anyone. 😊 That's the thing about LOS. All the foreigners who try to 'reinvent' themselves as something good. So easy to see through their BS.

Of course I'm not referring to anyone in particular :whistling:

Strange and annoying? 😉

Certainly opening up a Pandora's box with your comments.

There are SOME members here who do help

Even keel once helped me not only escape from view talay 2B but helped me when I was stranded between Jomtien & Pattaya

Another member here forget the name but I'm sure you can find the thread ,  ,had the tourist police sent  outside my condo building in Jomtien last October when middle eastern young people were going berserk on their motorbikes , and there was a lot of them so he /she certainly had some authority

Hi folks, as the subject i have been thinking for a while and want to let it go about these bizzare and mostly annoying behavior of our citizens of los

1. when you buy electronics such as 50k baht iphone or a flat screen tv

thai staff open up the brand new phone fiddling with their possibly dirty hands

Shows you that the phone actually starts

then stuffing everything back inside the box like being scratch ain’t their problem

2. When you buy a new car thai staff rides your car without much care then proceeds to put a dirty dealer logo and a big silly ribbon on the bonnet possibly scratching a few  and demands to take a picture as if  they added any value to the sale without making customers annoyed or worried

not to mention the horror stories of their so called after service

like ur taking it to them to get more damages , depreciates and what not

3. When you go to a Home Depot like places , there’s like 20 staffs standing there looking at you , following you, begging to ask them for something  I feel like being hunted and if I reply maipenrai they start coughing or clicking pens like it’s not my fault u gotta do this

I just strongly feel it’s so bizzare and upsets me when I encounter these moments with the citizens of los and can ruin my mood and day

On the contradictory it’s alright to have some booze with the citizens of los

what ever class they are from

Amy one feel me?

Feel like you?  No, not at all.  I like that sales staff take the time to check that all the contents are in a package before I get home and discover something is missing.  Nice to know everything is there.  In my experience, they carefully repack the box and reseal it--and I haven't noticed any dirty hands with sales staff.

We just bought a new car and when we picked it up we were presented with a large bouquet of fresh flowers.   And, an assortment of drinks and snacks in the very nice waiting room while we finished the paperwork.   The sales person took all the time in the world to explain the car's new features--which were plenty--and patiently and politely answered all the questions we had.

And, yes, they took our photo standing next to the new car with a big red bow on it--I found that to be a very nice and endearing gesture.  Buying a new car is a very big deal here for a lot of Thais--and, actually, for my spouse and me, too--and the dealers know this--and let their customers know, too.  We left the dealership feeling appreciated, and well cared for.

We have also called a number of times with questions that have come up and the salesman has patiently answered them for us, in some cases walking us through several different steps.  In the US, they threw the key to me, told me where my new car could be found on the lot, and sent me on my way.  Buh bye bye.

I like there are lots of staffers when I go to the Big Box stores.  Usually we can find one that can assist us with what we are buying--plus checking on a product's supply--plus assisting us in figuring out how much of something we will need, such as floor tile--plus getting something down for us if it's too high to reach--plus running and getting a cart for us if we decide to buy something once we are well into the store--plus if it needs assembly they will do that for us--plus if its a large item they'll carry it to the checkout counter for us and then carry it to our car for us--plus if the item is too big for our car they'll arrange for delivery at no or little charge, and usually in just a day or two--plus--well you get the picture--that's a lot of pluses.   Again, try that in the US.
