Thailand Urges Local Action Against Alarming PM2.5 Pollution Crisis
Every year the polloution gets worse. Starting earlier in the year and lasting longer. Every year the buitiful city of Chaing Mai is reduced to a no go area for at least two months every year with fires visible in the same locations. Strange how the burning is controlled until after the Flower Festval and Chineese New Year. -

Patrol Officer Seriously Injured While Assisting Rider in Surat Thani Crash
Picture captured from CCTV. At approximately 18:30 on January 26, Pol. Lt. Veerachat Seera, an investigator with the Mueang Surat Thani Police Station, received a report of a road crash involving a pickup truck and two motorcycles. The incident occurred on the bypass road in Makham Tia subdistrict, Surat Thani province. Emergency responders and rescue units were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, officers found a Honda CBR 300 police motorcycle lying on the road near a U-turn. A police helmet and radio were scattered nearby. The rider, identified as Pol. Sgt. Maj. Charoenporn Niamniyom, 35, a patrol officer from Mueang Surat Thani Police Station, sustained serious injuries. Not far from the scene, a red-and-black Honda Wave motorcycle belonging to delivery rider Mr. Thanakrit was also found lying on the road. Mr. Thanakrit suffered minor injuries. Both injured parties were promptly transported to the hospital. A grey Isuzu pickup truck, driven by 71-year-old Mr. Thawat, was stopped in the middle of the road. According to preliminary investigations, Mr. Thanakrit had been delivering goods near the scene of the crash and was en route to Makro when his motorcycle chain slipped. He stopped near the entrance of the Banbunjongburi Hotel to inspect the problem. While he was examining his vehicle, Pol. Sgt. Maj. Charoenporn, who was patrolling the area, stopped to assist. The officer suggested that the rider accompany him to the Bang Yai Police Outpost, located approximately one kilometre away, where tools were available to repair the bike. Pol. Sgt. Maj. Charoenporn then offered to push Mr. Thanakrit's motorcycle from behind using his foot as he rode his motorcycle, while Mr. Thanakrit steered it. As they reached the rightmost lane near the U-turn, intending to head to the outpost, a pickup truck approached from behind and collided with both motorcycles at high speed. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. -- 2025-01-28 -

WISE transfers taking a minimum of 2 days now?!
I have had 2 transactions, under $500, from Australia, to Bank of Thailand take 22, and 23, hours, Wise could not explain why, I did find out that Wise's Thai agent is Kasikorn, who then transfer on, so maybe Kasikorn is the culprit.
