Trouble in paradise.
This is from the Economist/YouGov. "151 days into Donald Trump’s term the president's net approval rating is -12%, down 3.3 points since last week. 41% approve, 53% disapprove, 5% are not sure." [Last updated on June 20th 2025] https://www.economist.com/interactive/trump-approval-tracker Is this false, misleading and taken out of context as well?😄 -

Politics Activist Jatuporn Prompan Calls for Mass Protest Against Thai PM
Photo of Jatuporn Prompan (centre) Veteran activist Jatuporn Prompan has announced a mass protest at Bangkok's Victory Monument on June 28, demanding Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra's resignation over accusations of national betrayal. At a press conference at the Rattanakosin Hotel, Jatuporn, alongside over 40 figures from Thailand’s political and activist circles, called for unity under the banner Uniting the Power of the Land. Attendees included members of PAD, PDRC, UDD, academics, artists, and military veterans. The protest follows a leaked audio clip allegedly revealing Paetongtarn undermining the commander of Thailand’s Second Army Region during a discussion with Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen about border policy. Jatuporn criticised the PM, stating, "I've never seen a prime minister offer up their army commander like this. Thai people must unite against internal betrayal." The activist described the government as "weak and stupid," accusing Paetongtarn of threatening national sovereignty. He urged coalition partners not to use the situation for political gain, cautioning it as the Pheu Thai-led government’s "weakest point." Jatuporn called for a protest from 4pm to 9pm on June 28, urging all citizens to participate. "If they're steering to sell the nation, we must sink that boat." Panthep Puapongphan, Dean of the College of Oriental Medicine at Rangsit University, supported the protest, highlighting the threat to national security. The group issued three demands: Immediate resignation of Prime Minister Paetongtarn. Coalition parties to withdraw from the government. Thai citizens to unite and defend national sovereignty on June 28. -
