Seems like a better deal than Centrum:

Sentry Senior, marketed by 21st Century HealthCare, Inc., is a multivitamin and multimineral supplement designed specifically for adults aged 50 and older. It aims to support the unique health needs of this age group by providing essential vitamins and minerals that may be lacking in their diets.

### Key Features of Sentry Senior
- **Comprehensive Formula**: Contains a range of vitamins including A, C, D3, E, and several B vitamins (B1, B2, B6, B12, niacin, folate), as well as important minerals like calcium, magnesium, zinc, and selenium.
- **Antioxidants**: Includes antioxidants such as lutein and lycopene, which are beneficial for overall health.
- **Gluten-Free and Non-GMO**: The product is marketed as being free from gluten and genetically modified organisms.

### Comparison to Centrum
Sentry Senior is often compared to Centrum Silver, a well-known multivitamin brand. While both products serve similar purposes and target the same demographic (adults over 50), they are not direct knockoffs. Instead, they are distinct products with potentially different formulations and ingredient profiles. Sentry Senior is positioned as a cost-effective alternative to Centrum Silver.

### Pricing and Availability
Sentry Senior is generally priced lower than many other senior multivitamins, making it an attractive option for consumers looking for value without compromising on quality. It is widely available in pharmacies and online retailers.

### Conclusion
While Sentry Senior may share some similarities with Centrum Silver in terms of target audience and purpose, it is not simply a knockoff but rather a separate product with its own formulation. As always, individuals should consult healthcare providers before starting any new supplement regimen to ensure it aligns with their health needs.

While it sounds great, diet also is even more important, regular exercise, avoiding tobacco use, minor if any alcohol and Thailand has a steady supply of healthy foods that provide all the necessary vitamins and minerals.  But whatever you do, I wish you good health and above all else happiness.

I saw one doctor on You tube interview and others mentioning something akin to this too -that in med school they spend less than 4 weeks on nutrition if even that much.  And yes, doctors are great fans of pharmas and big food industtry as they provide customers regularly.  Amazing how the health of citizens of "developed" countries are so unhealthy - all because of the food and pharma industries which supports doctors  and hospitals too.  Look at costs of health insurance....

Re red meat.  I believe it’s healthy to eat every now and again since it contains taurine and proteins of course.  However, the choice must be grass fed beef and hopefully cows out eating in the pastures.  CAFO meat is poison with their hormone, antibiotic and other vaccinations.

it seems all our food is being ruined these days with monoculture and CAFO cattle, caged chickens etc.  Cattle being fed with grains instead of grass, no wonder they burp and fart.  No wonder all the cramped animals get sick, they live on top of each other.  No wonder our grains and veggies lack nutrients.  The soil being depleted of minerals since the same species are being grown year after year.
The mega industrialisation of food has ruined the quality of our food.  Industries now fighting to get lab meat on the markets, plants being sprayed with all sorts of toxins.

The result is that we become dependent on supplements since our food is lacking.  Lack of nutrients is a lack of energy.  A lack of energy (cell energy = ATP) causes disease, there isn’t enough energy left to fight disease that our bodies were once capable of doing.  The more toxins we add the more sick we get.  The more sick we get the more toxins our so called doctors hand out to us.  A never ending circle.

I know this issue is controversial, but I think if you do some research with an open mind you will find that the studies that point to red meat as colorectal cancer risk are mostly observational. And often not well enough corrected for confounding variables. It tends to be the sum total of what red meat eaters eat, drink, smoke and do w.r.t. lifestyle that can increase the cancer risk, not the red meat itself.

I agree with your post and also agree that processed meats are likely to be the most harmful to the human body, whereas grass fed/grain fed beef are not and provide a good source of protein.

As an example one may wish to look at the diet of the South American gaucho which consists almost entirely of meat, mainly beef, and every part of the animal is eaten, from testicles for breakfast to brains for dinner! And the average lifespan of the gaucho is around 76 years......not bad for someone who eats an entirely meat diet!

100% correct, even worse, our foods are killing us or making us ill giving us diseases such as various cancers, diabetes, obesity, heart problems,  even dementia can be traced.  While researchers tell us that only around 20% of diseases are possibly within our DNA and some researchers now claim that cures through diet and lifestyle can overcome most diseases.  Dr. William Li, a reknown Harvard heart specialist and researcher has written two books recently citing the exact laboratory findings - His books "Diet to beat Diesease" and "Diet to beat your diet" which advises what foods can fight disease or which foods can prevent disease.  These are not regular diet fads but just reasearh in all kinds of fruits, nuts, veggies, seeds, herbs  and any foods that can help us fight health problems.  If one wants to lose weight, there is also help with proper and good tasting foods which are readily available in Thailand.  Good health to all.

Sentry senior multi vitamin

They are very good for emptying ones wallet otherwise not much good.

https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/wellness-and-prevention/is-there-really-any-benefit-to-multivitamins

Multivitamin supplementation slowed cognitive decline in older adults, the study showed.

Compared with placebo, participants who took a daily multivitamin/multimineral supplement had significantly better immediate recall at 1 year (P=0.025) and across 4 years of follow-up on average (P=0.011), reported Adam Brickman, PhD, of Columbia University in New York City, and co-authors in the American Journal of Clinical Nutritionopens in a new tab or window.

Multivitamins improved memory performance above placebo by the equivalent of 3.1 years of age-related memory change, the researchers estimated. The effect was more pronounced in people with underlying cardiovascular disease.

Also of course is the fact that many people don't have what is called a "balanced" diet and when that term was first introduced (I think it was in the 30s) additives like MSG and the various colouring agents in food were not prevalent in our diet. Also in the Thai diet there can be too much salt, sugar and other unhealthy ingredients

Not only that, drinking alcohol depletes B vitamins amongst others........"Not only is alcohol devoid of proteins, minerals, and vitamins, it actually inhibits the absorption and usage of vital nutrients such as thiamin (vitamin B1), vitamin B12, folic acid, and zinc. Thiamin (vitamin B1) is involved in the metabolism of proteins and fat and the formation of hemoglobin".

So although I'm not a heavy drinker, just red wine in moderation, I still take a multivitamin tablet every day.
