If you can't afford to lose the money, don't gamble, Somchai.

Don't beat up Minnesota Notso Slim. 😅

Pattaya Beach, known for its stunning coastline and electrifying nightlife, is grappling with a surge in alcohol-fuelled brawls involving unruly tourists. Once a haven for relaxation and revelry, the iconic destination has seen a troubling rise in disruptive incidents, leaving locals and officials concerned about the city’s reputation

That's what happens when you invite in masses to look good, instead of the quality or faamily units who spend real money.

TAT needs to re-think it's targets.

Less is sometimes more.

The clashes are often concentrated near the beach’s lively bars, restaurants, and clubs, where the intoxicating mix of alcohol, loud music, and dense crowds fuels tempers.

So change something..

Yes the BIBs are overstretched doing the daily rounds of wheel clamping for tea money. Unless there is a photo shoot involved police nowhere to be found.

Funny that the sexworkers are not mentioned. This news shows how much Pattaya is and will be a family destination... Never ...

Oh it happens often enough. Kind of refreshing that the headline doesn't contain the usual sexual dross.

What the frig do the idiots in charge expect? You've pressed hard for quantity and not quality in your tourist drive.

Reap what you sow... drunken, low life rubbish with no sense that they are in a " quality family friendly resort" ..

The not too distant efforts to introduce late night drinking to 4am, and allow serving mid afternoon, basically dawn to dawn hours, surely is having an effect.

I Hate to say this but I've noticed a significant rise in "Chavs" from the UK in Thailand in all the major tourist areas,Phuket,Pattaya etc. and just from my own observation I think the abundant availability of Cannabis is a big draw..it's brought in a whole new group of tourists..not for the better if you ask Me..just My opinion

Is it solely the UK do you think?

I see a few from Ozz too......

It is a bad direction nevertheless.

It's not just the Booze! The Ganga has a lot to do with it. Mix them both, and then it shows the typical Brit or anyone of Caucasian heritage who thinks they are the superior race and can lord it over everyone else.

booze of course, ganga has little to do with it, infact without ganga it would be worse,  bad behaviour when drunk  is not unique to caucasians, many stories on here about Indians (and their women) being involved in "incidents"  Caucasians only feature more often because there are many more of them, its not rocket science.

So a tourist gets assaulted by a Thai thug   I read that bit but nothing in the OP about chaos on the beach or drunk tourist except in very general terms.

(leaving locals and officials concerned about the city’s reputation).  What reputation, visit and you will see the sleaze.
