OneMoreFarang Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Until now I paid my Lazada shopping with my SCB banking app. Now it seems that is not possible anymore. Luckily, I could still pay with that app in Shopee. Does anybody know if that is a temporary problem or what is going on? I never had problems with that way of payment, and it is/was very convenient.
CharlieH Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Unless that's happened in the last 24hrs, I used Kbank no problem. Just checked again, no problem 1 1
pgrahmm Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago At times it seems to sometimes wink out & not show as available..... Then, a day or two later, it becomes an option again.... I've noticed it a few times..... 2

HappyExpat57 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Wow! I've been successfully using a credit card for months now, haven't bothered with SCB transfer (which DID work seamlessly). Just now ordered something and saw this: "Bank transfer and online banking services have been discontinued. Please switch to mobile banking or PromptPay. We apologize for any inconvenience." Sh!t. 1
rattlesnake Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago It depends on the seller, some allow only certain banks for the mobile banking option, others none at all. As has been said above, the best is to just scan the QR Code. 1

I used the cash on delivery method for about a decade, lost the ability to pay cash on delivery about 2 months ago. Bye Bye Lazada. 2 1 1

And I couldn't use the SCB all like before. I didn't try to buy anything else yet.
OneMoreFarang Posted 7 hours ago Author Posted 7 hours ago Just in general why I used the SCB app payment. In Lazada I just had to pick my purchase, then click pay, it opened the SCB app on my phone, and 2 or 3 clicks later all was paid. That is easier than using QR code. Credit card is an option. But in general, I don't want my credit card data stored in some Thai company computer... 1 1 1

I have used it at Big C a couple times, but I try not to. I don't trust any company or individual here, especially with my CC details.
PomPolo Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I used KBank yesterday to pay for an order unless there is a specific issue with SCB not sure.

OneMoreFarang Posted 5 hours ago Author Posted 5 hours ago I just ordered items from two other shops, and I could pay with SCB as usual. I don't know if the problem was related to the shop or whatever.

The seller also has no say in shipping providers unless they opt out of lazada shipping.
madone Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago What frustrates me is that lazada changed the defaults, I used to pay by card automatically and now suddenly I'm getting desperate calls from the drivers that they need me at home to collect money. I used to just have them leave the package at my gate. I need to consciously change the payment method now with every purchase. Equally annoying is Shopees insistence that after nearly a decade I prove my phone number is mine before I can make any more purchases. its a real pain in the ass because lately lazaada has been crap for selection and Shopee is often considerably cheaper, even from the same shop 2

I use both since years and never had the problems which you describe.

I contacted shopee, and I need to go to an AIS shop and give them my passport so i can prove I own the number, i really cant be bothered to contact lazada

Bye Bye Lazada. What is the point of cash on delivery? As far as I know you can't open the box and check the details before you pay. So basically, the only thing you know is that you received a box and then you pay. And I guess it is a lot more hassle to claim cash payment back later. I received already a couple of refunds without problems with other payment methods. 1 1
Moonlover Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I've switched to using K-Plus QR code (via the app of course) with Lazada. Very easy and apparently refunds are instant if required.. (Haven't had cause to test that out yet)
