I'm so sad, Thailand is changing.

When I arrived 1998, working offshore the foreigners were worthy people, sadly today so many of them are nasty, horrible people.

I've pointed this issue out in the past, Thai businesses are not as welcoming, friendly, they are starting to hate us now.

And now it's most of them....young guys with their handbags better suited to Benidorm, older guys with a great big ego to go with their wallets and not too mention the adabs

I am betting paranoia plus drugs. 🤪

If only Police could figure out where these drugs that cause paranoia are coming from... 😃

Paranoia is a common symptom experienced by individuals using methamphetamine (meth), especially during periods of heavy use or after prolonged binge sessions. Meth-induced paranoia can manifest in various ways:

Symptoms of Meth-Induced Paranoia

1. Delusional Thinking: Believing things that are not true, such as being followed, watched, or conspired against.

2. Hypervigilance: Constantly scanning the environment for threats or perceived dangers.

3. Hallucinations: Seeing or hearing things that are not present, which can feed into paranoid thoughts.

4. Distrust: Extreme suspicion of others, including friends and family members.

5. Aggression: Acting defensively or aggressively in response to perceived threats.

6. Isolation: Avoiding social contact due to mistrust or fear of being harmed.

7. Erratic Behavior: Acting impulsively or irrationally based on paranoid delusions.

The perpetrator here is of African appearance. They've never been well liked in Thailand.

To be fair, in recent years, many farang, be they Russian, Belarussian, from Europe, America, Australia, wherever, have been known to behave badly while in Thailand, so I guess I shouldn't be singling out Africans.

The actions of this "foreign man" seem highly unusual as most TV commercials, magazine ads, web pages in the United States picture these "foreign men" as Doctors, CEO's, business men, PhD's and highly skilled and educated professionals.

He was such a good boy who loved his mamma. He helped her take out the trash one time and made everyone laugh around him. He was going to be a doctor one day or a famous rapper.

The Thai's will take money from any nationality, fill them full of alcohol, possibly drugs, maybe also rip them off, then, when a "rampage" happens, wonder why.

In Canada he would be arrested and released on the same day. The security would just stare, so thumbs up to Thai securitu guy trying to stop him.

No he would not. If you you have a grievance against Canada, please feel free to surrender your passport and return to your paradise of Serbia.

This is a code White event and sadly is a regular occurrence in ERs around the world. It is quite obvious that this man is either under the influence of a powerful mood altering drug(s) and/or is mentally ill. The procedure will be to send him for a psychiatric hold  and exam. In Canada it is usually 72 hours. In Thailand, he may or may not be sent to a psychiatric holding facility where he will either be sedated or restrained.

Is it normal to wake up in a hospital and attack people when you're a colored person? I am betting paranoia plus drugs. 🤪

Well, what did you expect? He was found unconscious in the side of the road. Maybe he thought he would wake up surround by a few virgins giving him a massage.

As an European we learnt this the hard way

Not sure what you’re talking about, Africans are already in Thailand and  have been here for decades.

He's African. How can he be British? OK, by nationality, sure, but that doesn't make him a real Brit. It means he's an immigrant.

I was kinda jokin'😉

Oh dear.  Happens in every country.

Michelin restaurant in Santa Cruz, California, a quiet hippy town.

They had to close after an altercation involving a very drunk party who they "overserved" with a $2000USD bar tab who kept drinking bottles of wine that they brought after they were cut off then started some racist <deleted> against a chef who was Phillipino by calling him a dirty Mexican who had no business to be in America and started an all out brawl knocking over tables and breaking things.

Rich racist <deleted> alcoholics.

Doesn't say whether he was either arrested, or restrained and continues to receive treatment, or whatever happened to him. He might even be back on the street and a danger to others.

Come on reporter! let us know.

No, it's not, it's race + culture

That this response makes this post one of the most popular on the thread with a massive amount of thanks, likes and thumbs up shows what a toxic forum this has become IMHO.

This is rather schocking indeed. He looks African but one of my former colleagues told me all Sfricans do is climb up trees and make babies. What's he doing in a hosital then?

Organ harvesting paranoia? Might have woken up, imagined he was in a compromised situation and panicked. What kind of drugs knock your out like that? If you think someone has drugged you and are looking to remove your organs 😊

Yes, it does happen in every country, except you do not get "cut off" in Thailand, they keep serving you.  Then, they wonder why they have a problem with a really drunk customer.
