Dramatic Rescue: 14-Year-Old Boy Saved by Emergency Team in Chonburi
Picture from responders. A tense situation unfolded as a 14-year-old boy, distressed by being labelled a “problem child” by his parents, was rescued in a dramatic intervention by local emergency and rescue teams, after climbing onto the roof and threatening to jump. The incident occurred at a dormitory apartment in Nong Mai Daeng, Mueang District, Chonburi. Municipal emergency personnel and the Tri Khunatham Rescue Unit rushed to the scene, successfully intervening and preventing a tragedy. The boy, who was reportedly overwhelmed with stress, was taken to Chonburi Hospital for evaluation to determine whether he was experiencing mental health issues or severe emotional distress. Authorities plan to contact his family to ensure he receives proper care and support. Mr. Athipabodee Khaya, 22, a neighbour, revealed that the boy had mentioned feeling like a burden due to his parents’ harsh words. Before the incident, the boy left his phone with Mr. Khaya, asking him to answer any incoming calls, and expressed his intention to jump from the building. Alarmed, Mr. Khaya alerted friends and contacted rescue teams for help. “I didn’t know what issues he was facing before, as he recently moved into this dormitory,” Mr. Khaya added. Emergency personnel are urging families to pay attention to their children’s emotional wellbeing and to seek help when needed. -- 2025-01-27 -

British Man Arrested in Thailand for 20-Year-Old UK Murder Case
Based on the stories and reports about this case that has returned to the news several times over the past few years - there is a high likelihood that this man is guilty. However, for a prosecution to be successful, at least in the UK, there has to be evidence. Several other cases that have come to light over the last few years where evidence had been on the 'light side' at trial have resulted in reversals on appeal - albeit on some occassions much later. That is one problem with the jury system but now there's a far higher chance that a judge will give some direction to the jury. In some cases that direction is to acquit. Nobody wants to see a guilty man go free but there must be evidence or there can be no justice. I suspect that the UK police want to interview Armitage in the hope that he'll crack - yes they do that. If they have evidence, they will (or should) have to present it to the Thai courts in order for them to consider extradition. -

Hegseth has been confirmed.
That post was a disgusting flame and entirely about you idiotically thinking you understand me. I'm upset that Trump is now an authoritarian dictator and he pushes people based on total loyalty to dear leader that have zero qualifications or competence. For Ambassador to Luxembourg OK. Not for a life and death stakes for the planet job like defense secretary. -
