Goodness, not some foreign tourist fight....you mean the gunfire was from locals!!! How strange, how unusual.

Perhaps bringing in the birch to punish those guilty of some crimes might be the answer. Incarceration doesn't seem to be a deterrent.The same for my home country, England. My mother used to say to me " If you don't behave yourself you will end up in borstal and get the birch." I never did either. But the threat was there.

Seems the most innocuous place for a rumble is close to the Police station.

 

Gunshots however tend to disturb the on duty staff's sleep and may attract their attention.

I have no idea of which moron stated that Pattaya is a family resort but in my opinion it should be bulldozed into the ocean and start again.

No police were injured in this melee, they were all at home safely tucked up in bed

It kinda of makes sense why the gang rivalries decided to meet close to the Pattaya police station for a "peaceful discussion". What could possibly go wrong? Who in their right mind would open up fire 50 meters away from the police station? A few phrases come to mind:  "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong",  "Common sense is not so common", "Never underestimate stupidity, stupidity knows no bounds and finally for our American Vets 'SNAFU ... Situation Normal All fu&$ed up".
