Something so simple as not overstaying your Visa... I mean, how people can be so foolish to do this?

There are many possible ways to extend, or even change your Visa category, if all fails and it's about to expire,

just leave. Thais are just asking you to respect their immigration laws.

They come here for the money, their "handlers" hold on to their passports, when they stop "earning" or get too "independent" suddenly Immigration gets tipped off on exactly where to find them and then they are someone else's problem.

And the handlers simply make a call or text and a couple days later "new talent" arrives at the airport and once they've cleared Immigration they hand their passport over to the "handler" - probably unaware of the rules or what's expected of them and maybe after a party or two to "test" the new talent they get put to work making money.

That stuff has been going on since the first civilizations started springing up and people in the "oldest profession" found they could ply their trade and earn better money in other locations.

Well her last hope is to try to contact trump as he seems to be able to get so called "models" a visa into the/his country, then marry them!!

Instagram has descended into the worst international prostitution portal on earth. Far too many young women are getting dragged into an apparently glamorous but often depraved world. Dubai is the epicentre, Thailand a satellite. I'll also say that Thai Instagram is out of control, you'd be gobsmacked at not only how many women are plying their trade their but also who is available for hire. 

 

I see this story, what I see is a young woman heading for a nervous breakdown. Tragic.

It sounds like Mom and Dad are washing their hands of her.  If you overstay you usually pay the fine and leave on 10  day. N muss no fuss  But to lock up someone and the way it is written it is long term.  I would think that for 10 days, they would simply hold her in Pats, get the money sorted, and take her to Swampy instead of IDC for normal.

Respect has to be earned, it is certainly not been earned with their very obvious dislike of ex pats.

A 39 year old Ugandan woman in Pattaya faked a seizure to evade an immigration check after overstaying her visa by 603 days. She attempted to flee but was caught and collapsed on the sand, pretending to be unwell. 

Authorities confirmed her illegal status and took her into custody after medical treatment. She now faces deportation.

When I worked O&G industry I worked on/off in Dubai.There's tons of p4p available.The infamous York Hotel was a warm up. 

1st time there I was surprised with all the booze and pussy cats available for a Muslim country.
