Still slaves to the English.

Your total lack of UK/European history/geography etc is quite amazing!

I was going to suggest you stick  to US subjects but reading your last posts shows that it would  be a pointless exercise on your part!

Bushmills is nice.

When I was a youth I went to Pitlochry with a mate and we were desperate to try the single malts. I had the Macallans and he ordered a Glenfiddich.......with coke!!

The barman turned around and just glared at us. I just wanted to die. Lol

Since it was only Glenfiddich, which IMO is the lowest of the low class Malts,  he may be excused,  I do however agree with your choice of Macallans.  My Malt of choice is "The Glenlivet"!

PS;  Thank you for your support against the boorish poster above!

We went to several distilleries while we were there but it was so long ago I can't remember which ones.

I would blame that on the contents consumed during the visits and not memory lapse due to advancing years.

You obviously enjoyed them! As I always did when I found an excuse to join in!

Sacriledge!!

That reminds me - many may years ago in the trendy 60s one of my favourite tipples was Martini and lemonade (that being dry Vermouth and lemonade as Vermouth was/is? marketed in the UK as Martini)

As part of my job at the time I went to New York and in a bar I asked for a Martini and lemonade - the barman gave me a strange look and when I started to drink it I gave him a strange look back!

And before any smart ass posts a response - yes we lived happily ever after (not really)

As long as you didn't ask for it to be shaken not stirred like James Bond. You always stir a dry Martini.

No, that's why I asked you to tell me what he has given the go-ahead for...could you do that to edify me and to back up your assertion?

Google is your friend.  Plus check out Hegseth's comments.

There are hundreds of links but this one covers both:

https://apnews.com/article/nato-ukraine-us-hegseth-trump-russia-a3ca747b102cae6737436596444a32d0

Nothing in that link refers to Putin having been given the green light to do what he wants as a dictator...perhaps you posted the wrong link and you have another?    Don't tell me to google it, if you have the information that confirms your claim, let's see it.

This is President Trumps fault, blame him for nominating Lee Zeldin.

Further context--This is Trumps fault as articulated previously, feel free to blame President Trump AND his EPA boss for uncovering deep state fraud, waste and abuse in spending Americans tax dollars.

And, of course, someone just appointed by Trump can be trusted to tell the truth! 🤣

Any inflation or egg issues are totally on Biden.  Tough to judge someone who has been in office less then a month.

Anybody with half a brain knew that Trump was lying when he said he would bring down the price of food immediately. MAGAs simply don't care about Trump's lies.

All i remember him saying is that its quite difficult to undo the effects of inflation when after the fact. Everyone already knows where the fault lies there

He said that later when he started to backpedal.

Before the election, that's what he said.

Sorry not nrc, press conference.

You're deluded if you don't think that Putin will try his luck at invading other ex-Soviet countries if he's allowed to get away with Ukraine. Ditto Xi with Taiwan.  Giving into and appeasing dictators is shameful - but then Trump is close to one himself!

India is going MAGA and will call it MIGA, you can blame Trump for engaging with India's PM Modi and initiating "MEGA partnership for prosperity".

LEADERSHIP & WINNING from Trump 2.0.

Note: Dems despise Trump for having great and productive relationships with BRICS nations.

So where is the link that backs your assertion that "Trump gave the green light for Putin to act as dictators do" that you said you have and that "is backed up by hundreds of Google results"?    Your opinion of my 'delusions' (that I expressed no view about) is irrelevant to your initial claim and my request for my edification.

"Giving into and appeasing dictators is shameful - but then Trump is close to one himself!"

How is Trump anywhere "close to being a dictator"?   And "Google is your friend" is not an answer, I'm asking you, my friend.

It's my assertion, but shared by many.

I think Trump meets the definition of dictator well:

a person who behaves in an autocratic way.

"for some reason he's being a dictator—saying this is the way we're going to do it"

I don't blame Trump. Idiots exists everywhere in this world.

I blame the >70 million Americans who voted for him, knowing him, and somehow expected they will have a good president.

How stupid must one be to vote for that guy? Obviously > 70 million Americans are stupider than that.

And they will pay for it: Trump tariffs will 'blow a hole' in auto industry like 'we've never seen': Ford CEO

The thing is, though, not only did Republicans including Vance specifically blame Biden for the high price of eggs, but Trump claimed that he could lower the cost of groceries. Not merely slow the pace of inflation but lower them. And do it right away. Of course, now that he's elected, he's singing a different tune

No, just keep bleeding on because you out unreal expectations on something you know was never going to happen overnight and think that's some sort of gotcha
