I suggest start studying the matter for a while. What I read here is a mix of yes and no's! A mess if you ask me. Grain`? Cereals? Fruits? pasta? oh dear. not for anyone trying to lose weight. This topic is to big to get into here. Keep carbs under 100 grams a day as a start and see how tgat worls out. Try intermittent fasting. Go on line and study.

I've been doing this over 50 years, and have stayed lean all that time. My family isn't one that is lean by nature, so we have to practice nutrition to stay lean, as working out is only 25% of it. My brother died from a diabetes brought on heart attack because he didn't lose the weight he needed to, and he was in shape and healthy all his life until he was over 50 and because more sedentary.

What I suggested is right on. Too many carbs and you can't burn stored fat. Too little and you'll have internal problems, so you find out what you can do for your body. If you're overweight, you don't have to go radical, eliminating all carbs, to lose weight. The slower you lose, adopting a healthier lifestyle, the more likely you will keep the weight off. You eat low fat, moderate carbs, moderate protein, from all food groups unless you are allergic to dairy or gluten.

It's a very simple thing if you have enough will power to stop eating garbage junk foods. 5 small meals a day, not eating past 3 hours before bedtime, staying away from junk as much as you can, exercising regularly, Never drink calories if you want to lose faster. Some can't give up alcohol so that's their deal, but fruit juices and milk are out. Substituting a protein shake for a meal helps also, especially if it's just protein and skim milk (soy is lactose intolerant) and a piece of fruit. Many people don't have will power and that's their downfall. You have to stick with a healthy lifestyle forever. Diets don't work long term. People get fat because they eat too much junk and or drink too much. Eating what grows doesn't make you fat. It's what people put on those foods that does. Sugars, oils, cream, whole milk, full fat salad dressing, snacks, too much alcohol.

Can you walk up 400 steps? If not you are not healthy. If you can you are.

Many can't walk up stairs that much because of knee problems , so walking on a level place is still okay. I used to squat almost 600 pounds and less for many reps, and now, because of that strain on my joints, have pain when I walk sometimes. I could run like the wind also, and now can't run much at all. many who were into the weight game have the same problems. Moderation is something we didn't think of, and now we're paying for it, so regular walking is still the best bet for health and less damaging exercise. Anything done too much when you're young comes back to haunt you later.

I think slow walking daily is best. Treat is as normal rather than exercise. Walk to shops don't use a motorbike. Obesity hardly existed pre 1950. People walked a lot.

I took creatine for 6 weeks and was amazed about how much energy I had. My body felt really good. I was doing more exercises. BUT my hair started thinning. It really sucks about this so I stopped.

In a few years when my hair has more or less gone by natural causes I will go back on creatine. Have you tired it?

Creatine occurs naturally in the body and lowers as you age. It has nothing to do with hair loss. That's a genetic predisposition but can occur if your lifestyle limits the nutrients hair needs. .

I've always followed the walk if you can instead of driving, take steps instead of the elevator or escalator.

just not this

For the mental decline, just take a prebiotic supplement like inulin. Works better than anything discussed in this thread.

My hair was 100% thinning in a patch on top of my head. You dont know what you are talking about

When it was happening I started reading comments on many youtube videos. MANY guys saying they quit bc of this issue. I know its anecdotal evidence but there cant be so many guys writing these messages on many different videos. It happened to me bc of this. Its now been 1.5months off it and my hair is slowly going back to normal.

Good for you it came back. Any specific happenings in your life, changes in lifestyle, stress, depression, thyroid problems that could had an effect?

Anyway, if otherwise healthy creatin should not lead to hairloss

Lol let me get this straight. You are going to get on a diet, but you will continue breathing the trash that Thai air is which is known to contribute to memory loss and dementia?

Make sure you confirm your diagnosis with DeepSeek.

If you start follow his regime, I bet you spend most of your money on supplements, and false effects

Keto is good for temporary weight loss, that's it, and we do not need supplements unless we have reasons for use because of deficiency

Go ahead, it is a free choice, I know he is convincing, I have ollowed him for a time, but in the more extreme advises he gives, I could not find any science evidence of his claims.

The last place I would seek dietary advice from is this forum. Just take a look at most of the meat heavy and processed food meals posted on the "what did you eat for breakfast/dinner" threads. Yes, there are a few exceptions, i.e., @Hummin whose diet looks incredibly healthy. Just stick with a variant of the Mediterranean diet and above all avoid a sedentary lifestyle, shooting for 3-4+ hours of physical activity per day.

I'm experiencing memory issues / cognitive impairment for several years.

Many doctors on youtube are recommending the ketogenic diet which comprises of cutting down on carbs and UPF ultral processed foods. No more bread, rice, potatoes. Sugar is not permitted.

Eating fatty meat and seafood is recommended. Healthy fats eg avocados, nuts, oils. If I do this the liver produces ketones apparently. How will I know that I have succeeded.

It seems the idea is to eat nutrient dense, low carb, foods. The lower carbs helps to stabilize the blood sugar.

I used chatgbt for keto receipes and think that Im going to lose weight.

If you have any suggestions or useful websites it would be appreciated.

thanks

Question:

Why you think any "diet" will be useful?

And are you sure you will get answers on YouTube?

Ask health care professionals you're a patient with.

No such diet exists

You say what?

Can you elaborate a bit more, an not just trow out stupid comments which make no sense.

The Mediterranean diet exists, and many people follow that diet with great success, good health, and established great routines and dicipline just by following a not to complicated diet.
