BBC Faces More Serious Accusations of Bias in Gaza Hostage Release Coverage

I believe in the Quran, it never mentions 'Palestine' once but does the children of Israel 43 times and indicates Allah gave the Jews their home land. Palestine is a fantasy invented in the 60's by Arafat (an Egyptian) to make victims of Muslims and to use it as rallying cry to continually attack Israel over 'occupied' land. If anyone is occupying land in the middle east it's muslims invading over the centuries, not the Jews who have been there for over three thousand years.

Who would have believed it from a national broadcaster funded by taxpayer's money yet is basically just another mouthpiece for the woke leftist ideology.  ABC in Australia is exactly the same.

I just read about it here, and I do see some criticism of the BBC on Facebook. I support their efforts to tell both sides of the story.

There aren't two sides, only one: Israel was attacked and had to defend herself. Whenever there is another side it is only anti-semitic fiction.

Please discuss the topic not some posters repetative references to historical perspectives of the conflict. There are alternative topics already on that.

BBC Faces More Serious Accusations of Bias in Gaza Hostage Release Coverage - BBC lost its credibility more than a couple of decades ago.

In the 'good old days', the BBC news was the standard.

I'm happy to hear that the BBC, which I don't listen to much, is reporting more fairly on the Israel/Palestinian crisis. I encourage them to continue.

Would this be the same BBC, whose war correspondent Jon Donnison stood in Gaza and reported that the blast at the Al-Ahli Arab hospital was caused by an Israeli airstrike, and not, as it actually was, by a misfired rocket from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) from within Gaza.

The same BBC, whose same war correspondent, Jon Donnison, posted a photo of a young girl lying on a hospital bed with bloodied clothes, with the caption “Heartbreaking, Pain in #Gaza” …. when it transpired that the photo of the young girl was actually taken in Syria.

Is this the BBC that you are happy to hear are reporting more fairly on the Gaza crisis ?

I haven't heard about these incidents, but as far as I know, it's the same BBC. The one and only BBC.

I appreciate that you said you do not listen to the BBC much, so It is maybe understandable that you incorrectly thought that they have been reporting fairly on Gaza; the corporation has been institutionally antisemitic for decades, rather than years; and the reporter I mentioned is not the worst of them. Tune into any report on Gaza by Jeremy Bowen, or Lyse Doucet; a smorgasbord for antisemites.

Many thanks; don't suppose you want her back do you ?

Nah, we have enough woke-scolds already in network news here. Especially bitchy francophone women.

I would bet if  you checked who is responsible for the news coverage on this topic would likely find a muslim or 2 in charge.

what I read in this article is statements of Mr Cohen, imho this is most likely not a Palestine man but most likely a Jew.

The 2nd statement quoted here "Hillel Fuld, whose brother Ari was killed in 2018 by a Palestinian teenager recently freed in the prisoner exchange" is a person who is personally heavily suffering and maybe traumatised.

That these 2 persons have a perception of BBC bias is highly expected.

Would have been a better balanced article is some Arabic people were quoted or some from some neutral countries.
