This is the first time I will have to do a 90 report in person as I went to England for a month at the end of last year so I will use the drive-through for the first time in Phuket.

I have done all of my 90 reports online so far so what do you have to take with you for the drive-through, I suspect the form has to be filled in, passport, copy of the last 90-day report, copies of your visa and passport, and the TR30.

Anything else?

ONLY passport an old 90 day report in it

  • u can get multiple at airport as well    IN Phuket, u pick up passport with new extension and than apply for re entry, takes anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour( depends on number of people there)

  • Sounds like Jomtien. In any event obtain Reentry Permit when extension is in passport. Note: you can also obtain reentry permit at airport on day of departure. Outlined here. https://as

You can apply anytime. I always apply for my visa extension and re-entry permit simultaneously.

Thanks for the info, do we fill out any forms while at the drive-through, or is that all done for us via a computer at the drive-through by a Thai admin person?

700, well worth it not having to wait the next day in line for the re entry!  😃

fyi; Phuket has a drive thru window for 90 day report !

I found out today that when I picked up my passport there were two receipts, one for the extension, one for the multiple re-entry permit, and no receipt for the "special service charge" of 700 baht.

I wondered why when I went into the office one of the guys walked towards me smiling and said very loudly "sawadee clap".

After I checked the receipts later on I realised why. 😃

Now that you are on your immigration office's list of VIPs you can expect to receive the privilege of paying a "special service charge" every year.

As for the "sawadee clap", you did not hear that correctly. Nobody put a curse on you to get the clap (slang for gonorrhoea), but that's something for the Thai Language forum.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

Nope, I did not expect a receipt for the 700 baht "service charge", I would have paid more if needed, it is not much fun wasting time in immigration offices, and I have a much more interesting and profitable way of using my time.

The 700 baht 'service charge' was so I could get the visa extension and the multi-entry permit at the 'same time' as they are in different buildings and it would have meant me going back another day to get the multi-permit.

If I don't need the multi-permit next year then the total cost will be 1900 for the visa extension.

Seeing as I was writing Thai with English phonetic letters the 'clap' part of it does not mean 'the clap'. 😀

Thanks for the info, I went to the drive-through today, only one car in front of me two minutes later I was served.

I got out of the car and went to the window as my last 90-day report receipt was "due" on the 10th of December 2024 so I knew I would have to explain why.

The officer looked at the 90-day receipt and made a sigh, I then pointed to the stamp in my passport which showed I had been out of the country for a month and back in on the 3rd of December 2025, hence my 90 reports were in order.

Two minutes later I had the latest report given to me, so easy, so later on in the year when I have to do this again I now know what to do.
