I still think they don't have this figured out too well, what happens for family accounts with multiple SIM's? I mean as long they allow us to register each SIM to a different person, but stay on one family account, then so be it, otherwise?

I don't do banking with Bangkok Bank, so really don't care how they treat their customers.

Interestingly enough, a message has appeared today on my KBank app telling me my name doesn't match my phone. And I've got until 30 April to sort it. So I will check with True what name they have, ought not be hard (famous last words). But regarding your earlier point about family SIMS they seem indeed to have thought about that - and at least Kasikorn have details of what to do in those cases. 1

I am personally 100% against cashless - there is only one winner and it ain't us. Correct no matter what the amount changed is we will be charged for every transaction. It gets worse soon when we are all cash less see what will happen when you say the wrong thing on Social media. We need to keep cash going as best we can or we will be doomed I tell you doomed. You won’t be able to give you lad pocket money without a charge 1 3

I got a message saying my passport photo didn't match my name. Can't see what the issue is. 1

I've never used QR payment in TH, so I don't know. Most apps like Line, Grab, Panda, and others take a percentage from the seller and charge the user a percentage for using the app.

It doesn't hurt as much and I have a record. I don't know why people have problems with using cards. I hardly touch cash these days and haven't for many years. Ever wondered what happens when the interweb goes down or somebody who has control over it decides they don't like how you spend your money and deicide to put s stop to it? 1 1
DTL2014 Posted yesterday at 05:43 AM Posted yesterday at 05:43 AM i'm looking at these payments systems now - it's the service provider which charges a commission - the bar might have implemented a payment system which charges 4 or 5% . just QR on its own is no fee.

Yes, apps like Line, Grab, etc. charging a commission, is normal.

I know a lot of people have their phones registered using their Thai partners name because it has benefits, we are treated differently for many things here 1

To determine what triggered the debit, request a statement covering the day where a 15 ฿ fee was deducted. On your statement the date and time of each transaction is given including the minute. Find the entry for the fee deduction. Then find another transaction that occurred at the same time as the fee debit. This transaction is the one that triggered the fee. You can request a statement using your bank's phone app. Bangkok Bank debited 15 baht from my savings account on February 19. It was described as commission/annual fee. The only other transactions this month were incoming Social Security from SSA by direct deposit and one transfer to my SCB account using the BB app, both taking place on 3 February. This seems to have started sometime last year, as I don't recall BB doing this in prior years.
BigLek Posted yesterday at 09:30 AM Posted yesterday at 09:30 AM These changes wont do much to help anything.

Maybe so, but you'll still have to sort out your bank. Unless you only use your partners account for everything.

Obviously one account with multiple SIM's attached to that account. Plus I am sure businesses do the same, how exactly do they handle that situation?
Hanuman2547 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I used to have a few Thai bank accounts but over the years I have closed them out. Now I just keep one that I opened back in the 80's. Glad I did as it seems opening accounts is much more difficult now.
