How many assumptions on your part do you think you inserted into that one sentence?

I've seen your comments, so it was based on that

Yes, one of my biggest regrets is voting for Blair in '97.

When you listen to Bernie, at least he sticks to his beliefs and makes sense when he talks. Even his recent interviews (at 78) he sounds sharp and focused. Neither of presidential candidates could get anywhere near that level. One could not last a minute before going off script and talk about himself, and the other could not even understand herself what she just said.

Unfortunately Bernie sold out after the DNC cheated him out of the 16 election. He would have won, but Clinton wanted it for herself and you got Trump.

I haven't followed Bernie much since, but he's one of the big Pharma shills now as proved by his opposition to RFK

You'd think someone from the left would say something about that. You jonnyf used to be a liberal.

Does no compute. Error. Error.

Americans know more about communism than the rest of the world it seems, as we are the only ones to have rejected it flat out

Lots of socialistic practices/policies exist in the USA.  In fact some of them are so popular that any political party that attempts to restrict them would go down in flames.

Do your homework and report back.

I still am liberal in the classic sense of the word (small l). You might even say extremely liberal.

Unfortunately the word has been hijacked by the left. The is nothing less liberal than a "Liberal" these days. Some of the most authoritarian, intolerant people on the planet. Enemies of free speech.

Trudeau being a great example. The way he dealt with the truckers protest was absolutely shameful but on the plus side, it exposed him for what he truly is.

I voted liberal in canada when I was young.

You see a lot of progressives on here exposing their true colors day after day.

The majority of Canadians wanted a much tougher position on the  small group of protestors who terrorized residential neighborhoods. They were a collection of uneducated, ignorant bigoted bullies who were handled with kid gloves.

Angus Reid Institute survey, 69% of respondents said they opposed the protesters themselves – their approach and behavior – versus just 27% who said they were supportive of the protesters.

In addition, 72% said the protesters have made their point and should “go home now,” while 22% said the protesters should “stay in Ottawa and other protest sites until their demands are met.”

44% said the protests had actually made them more supportive of these vaccination requirements, while 32% the protests had no real effect.

In a Leger survey in collaboration with The Canadian Press news agency, 62% of respondents said they opposed the protests’ message of no vaccine mandates and fewer public health measures versus 32% who supported that message.

Sixty-five percent of respondents agreed with the following statement: “The convoy is a small minority of Canadians who are selfishly thinking only about themselves and not the thousands of Canadians who are suffering through delayed surgeries and postponed treatments because of the ongoing pandemic.”

"Profanity-Laced" is normal JRE conversational language.

FYI, guess who probably got more "views"?  Joe Rogan during this JRE episode or this Daily Mail article?

Just saying.....

“These people are leading you on the road to legitimate communism. He’s leading that country on a road to legitimate communism. It’s very dangerous, and I think most Canadians are fed up with it at this point,” he stated.

Uhh... sorry Joe but Canadians will most likely re-elect the Liberals in the upcoming federal election despite 10 years of mismanagment, radical Wokeism and scandal upon scandal.

Many folk think Conservative leader Mr Poilievre is a Trump suck up, so they're scared as hell to vote that way.

Trudes is on his way out, but ex-Bank of England boss Mr Mark 'Carbon Tax' Carney looks to be in the right place at the right time. A shoo-in for prime minister?

Canada swings even further Left?

The USA ain't going to be too happy about that.

Oy vey Kanada!

When Trudeau blocked the truckers bank accounts because of what they believed in you knew Canada was already a Communist state.

When that happened I said to myself 'That is something the CCP would do. That cannot happen in Canada.'

But it did.

And many Canadians saw nothing wrong with it. Maybe that's more worrisome?

Not for long, president Musk is trying to dismantle them to finance his tax cuts.

Hopefully his attempts will wake up the MAGA minions to the threats posed by Trump/Musk.

Poor Joe R.  He's oblivious the fact that his popularity/influence is regressing to its true value.

Yeah right, he isn't in it for popularity or influence, but that just show how out of touch you are.

The media COVID brainwashing was in full swing by then, neighbours and families were divided and fighting over what they were told by the MSM.

Canada won the hockey game.

Conclusion:

Canada is united against MAGA and all its implications.

A Liberal win under Carbon Tax Carney is virtually assured in the upcoming federal election. 🤣

A silly topic. Never believe anyone who cannot communicate in public without cursing.

Americans seem to define communism as a system where their taxes pay for anything that others benefit from. Yet by that definition, many of the tools of state are communistic. Roads? Which part did you pay for and get out of my part.

Joe has completely lost the plot. He's entered Rush Limbaugh territory on his way to Alex Jones. His show is one conspiracy rant after another. The other day he was ranting about fluoride. "It's a MF neurotoxin!".

Joe's a prime example of how a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing.

Trudeau resigned, didn't he?

He did not resign. He started his speech by: "I intend to resign..." followed by a number of conditions (Liberals electing a new leader and prorogation of the parliament by the Governor General). At this time he still runs the show like a dictator because he can't be censored by the parliament through a vote of no-confidence and be kicked out. So Canada may have a new non-elected Liberal PM until new elections this Fall....and the results maybe another leftist parliament if the NDP and The Bloc Québécois support the Liberals.
