He's not only reducing influence (nobody likes to be publicly put down in front of their own people and the world, he's also wrecking the dollar, creating inflation, and turning the world over to China. All because of his own petty personal dislikes and anger. This is what having a teenager in charge of government is like.

Biden created inflation. Chinese economy has been struggling. USD is up.

IMO someone who slaps tariffs on their allies is going to put in question whether an alliance has any value.

MAGA posters here are frothing at the mouth about transgender programs in Peru, whatever.

The fact USAID also funds major public health initiatives in vulnerable countries escapes them. Polio is still endemic in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

They will find out soon enough bacteria and viruses don't give a damn about national borders.

But hey, with an anti-vaxxer in charge of America's health, what could possibly go wrong?

Its not your money and so your opinion means nothing.  Bet a whole bunch of US Aid money is lining pockets in Brussels. And you lie about the status of health aid. Wonder how much your country contributes. btw.

No matter, you support stealing from Americas cookie jar. Thieves.

Australia contributes more per capita in foreign aid than the US does.

$360 billion for secondhand nuclear submarines.

US multinationals avoiding company tax in Australia with profit shifting and fake loans.

Trump extorting Ukraine for strategic minerals.

China thinks of us as an American base.

It's America doing the stealing, think about that before opening your fat yap again.

Yes, Trump will degrade America while trying to make his country 'great'. Have to side with the Left a bit here. While it is good to have some balance regards the whole woke issue (it is too much right now), he is OTT and is also pissing all over friend nations. They will gradually turn and do business elsewhere with less flaky entities. Trump has no F idea how much the US gains from NATO, for example.

WWII: Most of the monies went into rebuilding Germany, while Britain got the shaft. Having stood alone for so long (US came in YEARS later when it was convenient) it was basically brought to its knees, and having to negotiate with the US for supplies in exchange for scientific info and whatnot, and was then left to build itself back up while seeing all this money pour in next door.

Of the OP, he does not care one iota since he is very rich, very old and quite deluded.

I certainly think so, the whole purpose of USAID when it was first created, was to increase American influence and goodwill around the world. Now he is distorting the truth by making this into a sort of fake woke issue, an issue about support for transgenders, and a myriad of others issues, that represent a tiny minority of the aid the US provides around the world.

And it seems to me that in the process he is giving a huge gift to China, by allowing them to step in, where the US left off, if they wisely choose to do so. So is he truly making America great again, or is he diminishing America by the day, and vastly reducing American influence around the world?

USAID funds an array of humanitarian projects around the world, including those related to providing clean water, infrastructure, and health care. The State Department provides broad foreign policy goals to USAID, but the agency decides on the specific projects to achieve those goals. Generally, independent private contracting companies bid on the projects that USAID funds.

Congress appropriated $66.1 billion for foreign aid in fiscal year 2023. That works out to 1.2 percent of that year’s total federal expenditure, which was more than $6.1 trillion. USAID administers around 60 percent of foreign aid.

Why Does the United States provide assistance to other countries? There are many reasons countries provide foreign aid to other nations beyond simply helping people living in poverty or conflict.

Fostering positive relations with other countries. A country can leverage the foreign aid it gives, and that resulting relationship, to get preferential treatment later. For example, China has spent nearly $680 billion since 2013 on its Belt and Road Initiative, funding infrastructure projects in 150 different countries. The project is meant to increase Chinese trade and influence around the world.

Promote global stability.

This was the primary goal of the Marshall Plan, when the United States gave Europe $13.3 billion to rebuild after World War II. A stable Europe was economically beneficial to the United States, and there was fear that the Soviet Union could further expand its sphere of influence from Eastern Europe if Western Europe remained fragile.

The aid also helps to prevent the global spread of disease. Treating and preventing diseases from spreading is another way to promote global stability, as diseases such as COVID-19, smallpox, ebola, among others can be destabilizing. The United States funds several initiatives to curb infectious diseases; one of the most successful has been the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). The United States has invested over $100 billion in PEPFAR since 2003, providing developing countries facing HIV epidemics with medicine, medical care, and preventative resources.

Why should the spend 66 billion on aid when budget deficit is 1.8 trillion?

You are avoiding the point of my argument by quoting or should I say parroting Trump. The vast majority of USAID goes to alleviating poverty and fighting disease in the poorest countries of the world. If you are interested in engaging in an informed debate, prove to me otherwise.

Granted, the public doesn't have that luxury since Musk dismantled their website which disseminated that information. I guess they subscribe to the philosophy that information can be a terrible thing.

Worthy USAID will remain in place. LQBTQI+ comics won't. I can't see a problem with this.

Not sure about diminishing influence. In some ways we are becoming less of an influence in places we shouldn't be. The Davos type things and whatever that climate thing was in azbakjabistan or where ever it was. If that's influence it is like stop providing kids with smokes and matches. Like it or not on the main ones the USA is right in the mix.

Israel, Ukraine etc. If the USa has lost influence you could say Europe has become completely irrelevant. If your idea of USA influence was that we were going to lead some sort of globalist movement and rub elbows at climate events you may be disappointed.

There is a difference between influences and over reach..

Do you have evidence, any at all, that China will start paying millions for transgender opera performances and pronoun lessons in Peru? Can you accept paying countless millions for woke rainbow projects in the far flung corners of the world was an overreach, and was bound to backfire once sanity returned to power?

Never mind all the waste and fraud exposed. Remember when you guys were falsely and without evidence accusing DJT of fraud and it was a big no no. But now it's team dem caught in the MOA boondoggles and not a peep from those who claimed to be so worried about fraud.

Most peculiar.

You do realize that the budget and goals for USAID are approved by congress each budget renewal session. Congress is made up of both parties and they both had input and were part of the budget approval process. That would be both GOP and Dems but you like to just blame the dems. Now that's what peculiar

Are you claiming that when the democrat hivemind had a majority in congress their votes were split and not just the typical hivemind behavior of voting the way they were told by Nancy, Chuck and the parry elite?

Most peculiar.

USAID DID NOT fund a transgender opera performance. Nor did it finance pronoun lessons in Peru. These are some of the falsehoods that Musk has claimed.

Yes, there is fraud and yes there is waste. The fraud has already been identified in audit  reports and is typically addressed by the organization. DOGE and Musk did not discover  anything that wasn't already declared. Unfortunately, Musk is firing the people who are tasked with discovering the fraud and  prosecuting the perps.

If Trump was truly serious about  rooting out fraud and waste, he would use  forensic auditors. That is what they do. They can unravel and  trace back complex fraud. Instead, Musk is using 19 year old computer programmers who have no understanding of finance or of forensic accounting. This is not about  fraud or waste, but is about  the elimination of social programs and regulatory controls.

And yes, the USA is marginalized and is rapidly losing influence. It is becoming a pariah.  US nationals  are not welcome in many countries where they thought they were. It takes a special kind of arrogance and stupidity to  alienate Canada and the  Nordic Europeans who are usually quite tolerant of idiots. Soon  US nationals will be like the Russians, welcome in only a few backwater tourist destinations. Who knows, maybe Trump can make Haiti the Riviera of the Caribbean.

1. Didn't ask for per capita, how much do you guys spend each year?

2. Seems like a fair price for nuclear submarines, and you want new ones? Can you afford them?

3. Please set forth the facts that you have showing that multinationals use fake loans.

4. You are opposing our attempts to get paid by a ukraine? Does that mean you support stealing from us.

5. You are a American base. Not much else.
