Lispril alternative.

Featured Replies

Using it for sometime but recently been suffering from metallic mouth tried multiple "cures" mouth washes etc but thought Lispril may be the problem. Have consulted with doctors and dentists but no real success.

Been worse since a bad case of Covid last year, any recommendations?

Talk to doctor who prescribed the medication.

I used to take Lisinopril (Lispril) 20mg until they stopped making it locally.

I had a Doctor recommend Cozaar 50mg as an alternative. That was about four years ago and has been working fine. I also no longer have the cough that was a side effect of Lisinopril.

I think Lisinopril is available in Thailand again but I will stick with Cozaar.

This is really your best option as choice of antihypertensive depends on many factors and overall medical history.

ACE inhibitors (the class Lisinopril belongs to) do cause taste disturbances in some people.

So  may Angiotensin Receptor blockers, a related group of antihypertensives.

Cakcium channel blocker might be an option but should discuss with physician familiar with your overall medical history.
