It shows the Brit was involved in a confrontation on the street, seemingly with maybe a couple people (one being a guy in a white shirt) in a pushing/shoving kind of match. But they don't let the clip run. They clip it and then show just the end part where he is aggressively following a security guy who turns around and belts the Brit. The clip is blurry and they keep putting the stupid graphics in there but if you look close you see the Brit and a guy in a white shirt dancing (i.e. shoving each other) which was a few seconds after the Brit had apparently been trying to confront someone else (possibly the Security guy as it looked like someone in a dark shirt). The clip ends and picks up again with the Brit following the Security guy and then getting laid out on the street. So it wasn't just some Security guy popping a tourist for no reason. It appears the Brit was involved with a couple other people before that (and you can see the other people all looking towards him). Not true. The pushing shoving match may have been an attempt to stop the issue between himself and the guard. The guard then removed his uniform and beckoned the old man to meet him around the corner. 1 1

Needed some sense punched into him, hopefully he'll learn a lesson, if not we will soon see him on the pavement again soon 😂 10/10 to the Thai guy for his performance. 👍 1 1 1 1

OK caveman, the world is not a Popeye cartoon, if he has permanent brain damage or dies of a skull fracture does he "deserve" that? Death penalty just for being an ɑsshoIe? In other countries he would be charged with 2nd degree murder. Bouncers are supposed to be able to handle such things without resorting to extreme violence. That's what tasers and pepper spray are for. That's why you have more than one bouncer. That's what 191 on your phone and the police are for. 1

Bouncers get paid low money to deal with dregs of society. They should be trained more but who is going to do it? Bars in Thailand struggle to make a profit. Do we want another 300 baht fee on plane tickets to train staff to deal with scumbags? 2

So, we have an idiot drunk thug and a actual thug pretending to be security. Of course, already some idiot posters are suggesting that this 'Brit got what he deserved' These are idiotic comments - No.. he didn't deserve to get knocked out and potentially killed, he 'deserved to get restrained' for the police to take over, take him back to the Police station to sleep it off.... Thats a civilised response to uncivilised behavior. There are too many reports of these guards having a 'trigger finger response' and acting with savage and ferocious barbarity - they are often not 'security guards' in the true manner of the sense, they are unhinged characters looking for an opportunity to react. Meanwhile, there are too many idiots behaving like to$$ers, but the short-cut to violence is not the way to control these idiots - Bars covet the drinkers, the spenders etc but they can get out of hand so a 'trained security is needed' and IF they cannot control a situation, the police then need to step in, thats what the police are for. No one should be getting knocked out in this manner.... its a very close step away from killing someone..... These Bouncers / Security guards need training. All nice on paper. Not so nice in reality. You are asking a solitary person who is being attacked to "restrain". Thing is, if you watch the video, the assailant was coming at him with intent to do physical harm. The victim was both legally and morally allowed to defend himself. These events are unpredictable and the safest course of action is to incapacitate the violent assailant. The security personnel are not there to be the target of abuse of customers. The reality is that normal rational people do not attack people. I doubt this is the first time that the assailant has done this. I also expect that he has a history of violence. The thug was the assailant, and yes he got what he was due. Not the victim's fault if the assailant was injured. Yours is an argument for not taking responsibility for inappropriate conduct. It is always someone else's fault. 1 2
