It took a few days, but it seems that he has either come to the right conclusion or taken some good advice from smart people around him.  Pres Zelensky is now rather contrite, and willing to sign the deal he originally rejected last week.

To quote in part from his authentic Twitter account:

Our meeting in Washington, at the White House on Friday, did not go the way it was supposed to be. It is regrettable that it happened this way. It is time to make things right. We would like future cooperation and communication to be constructive.

Regarding the agreement on minerals and security, Ukraine is ready to sign it in any time and in any convenient format. We see this agreement as a step toward greater security and solid security guarantees, and I truly hope it will work effectively.

Just wait for the leftist spin. Try to lie their way out of it. Trump ripped leftists a new one.

Yeah, although his tactics are seemingly lost on the left supporters and politicians. It is what is needed to get America into a better position. The lefts always seem to just throw everything out to everyone. without any benefit for the country or its people. Trump is a deal maker and his tactics are harsh but he stands by making sure the country is benefited also. Lefties in here will twist this of course to satisfy their own hatred of Trump and their refusal to accept that Trump gets what he says he will get for making the US a better place to live.

I am still trying to understand what Zelensky gains for Ukraine by signing away mineral rights with no indication that Trump will provide further military assistance, will block eligibility  for NATO to satisfy Putin.

Ukraine will never "win" this war , Russia will never relinquish territory it controls and will redevelop and reconstruct in that territory.

The  far less destruction in the greater Ukrainian territory has long been suggested to be  reconstructed  using frozen Russian assets .

As the lesser total contributor to Ukraine than the EU in funds ( contrary to Trump's inflated claims) why or how is it that the US dictates some nebulous "peace deal" ?

Citing the volumes of obsolete and redundant military hardware is equally redundant when in reality the opportunity to empty storage under the guise of charitable assistance in what in reality has indeed been a proxy war is pointless.

He had a proverbial gun pointed at his head. It was a shakedown for protection money.

I haven't read anywhere the current American US President state exactly what would happen if American economic interests were threatened in Ukraine. Nothing will come out of the UXB-strewn ground for 10 years or more. For 10 years, the only American assets on hand will be the rented Caterpillars. No one is going to die on a proverbial hill for those. The Russian leader knows the Americans will never risk the lives of their troops over a building site.

Smart move by a proper US leader. Idiot Biden gave away billions for nothing.

Lefty spin doctors on alert. Loads of garbage to be said on MSNBC and CNN next 2 weeks. Sad.

Yes, Russians suck.  But, that does not excuse the people of Europe for being cowards.

Dumb references here to 'lefties' at every opportunity do nothing to make a case about anything at all.

The 3 richest Guys in the USA have as much wealth as at least 50% of Americans together. And the Trump tw*t wants to cut MediCare, with the aim of reducing their taxes?

Would anyone (not of moronic mentality), say that is right?

Would he/she be classified then, as a 'leftie'.

The US deficit is close to two trillion.   Something needs to be cut.
