A notorious local troublemaker in Nakhon Si Thammarat was apprehended yesterday, bringing relief to a community long terrorised by his drug-fuelled antics. Police Colonel Sonthaya Panpaen and officers from the Human Trafficking Suppression Division successfully tracked down Sarawut, aged 34, in the Mueang Nopphitam district.

The arrest took place in a mangosteen orchard, where Sarawut was found sleeping at his home. His infamous machete, used to intimidate locals, was within reach and promptly confiscated by police. Sarawut’s capture comes in the wake of an arrest warrant issued by the Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Court, following his repeated threats against neighbours and even rescue workers.

Residents have long lived in fear due to Sarawut's volatile behaviour, with incidents of him threatening people and attempting to assault rescuers who were providing aid. His arrest warrant listed charges of residential intrusion and wielding a weapon publicly without justification, actions that had incited fear and chaos within the community.

Upon arrest, Sarawut acknowledged his identity but chose not to respond to the allegations. He was swiftly taken to Nopphitam Police Station for questioning and to face legal charges.

The arrest has provided much-needed reassurance to local residents, weary of living under threat. As the investigation continues, police have reaffirmed their commitment to tackling drug-related crime, reinforcing their dedication to maintaining public safety and preventing further disturbances, reported The Thaiger.

He's lucky the locals didn't get their own machete to deal out their own justice.

Better be prosecuted with Deadly Force.

The only positive contribution that thing can ever make: To perish.

Dead Sarawut is the good Sarawut.

Sounds similar to one of my ex girlfriends. Don't let girls near a knife unless a dozen gin & tonics have been consumed by each party.

Suicide is painless...it brings on many changes🙃🙃.
