I’ve prepared some documents for my application and would appreciate some advice on whether these will suffice:

  • Recent photo (I'll just use a digital upload of a recent passport photo)
  • Proof of current location:
    • Primary: Biodata page of my passport
    • Alternative: Driving licence
    • Last resort: Temporary lodging agreement from relatives in the UK
  • Marriage certificate (digital copy – front and back)
  • Thai bank statement showing 400k: They want it recent but I’m unsure how recent this needs to be—do they require several months of history or just a single month’s statement? Also, my Thai bank statement from Bank of Ayudhya doesn’t show my Thai address—would this be an issue? Also what do they mean by "no screenshots" ? They just want PDFs right?
  • Wife’s Thai ID card
  • Daughter’s Thai ID card

I’m also unsure about the following documents as I've seen others post on this topic that they needed these but some have said they have since slimmed down the requirements, my wife is a very busy woman and I don't want to pressure her into writing a letter:

  • Invitation letter from my wife – Is this necessary?
  • Wife's tambien baan - Is this necessary?
  • Thai address – Do they require proof such as rental agreement?
  • Plane ticket – Do I need to provide evidence of my travel to Thailand?

Any insights offered would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Last year London specially asked me for this for a non O application. Not to say they will for you but be prepared in case.

This attached site is not official immigration site however has clear general guidelines regarding docs etc.

For example you mention bank statements.

In the attached article it suggests 2 months.

I'll prepare a two months' statement then.  Hopefully that will be recent enough for them. Do you know what they mean by "no screenshots" ?

Thinking perhaps referring to app generated bank statement being a No and wanting a bank issued statement with the bank stamp + signature.

Re Upnotover post needing flight into Thailand, I agree that most likely be required.

As you typed...that's not an issue for you.

I used a downloaded statement from Kasikorn. No stamps, no signature. 1 month only as I recall.
