What the heck is he still doing roaming the streets?

In gaol and in a straight jacket for his own protection.

Second thoughts - forget the straight jacket.

Yeah, one might wonder, but reading this, it looks like no formal complaint or report to police has been made until now.

Does a formal report need to be made for the police to take any action ?

I doubt the police were completely oblivious to his actions and reputation if the local community were aware....

... I suspect this is more a case of laziness...  nothing in it for them (the Police) to deal with the issue, so they didn't bother...

Yes, a report have to be made for the police in Thailand to do something. We read about it over and over again, when foreigner get beaten by security guards for example. If the foreigner no make a case, they can´t do anything. It´s silly, but it seems to be the norm.

Absolutely, I also doubt they were clueless, but just didn´t care. I might also say that sometime since 2014, somebody must have made a report already, but you are right, laziness is a big habit in the force.

i think if it’s a civil matter a police report / complain needs to be filed, but not if it’s a criminal matter.

Is assault not a criminal matter here ?

Yeah assault would be a criminal matter. However, it can´t be a civil matter when a security guard from a bar area kicks the head of a foreigner. That must also be classified as assault, but still they told that he had to come forward and make a case.

Yep…. I read the same…

Lazy policing for sure…   Certainly so in this case… (this story)…

… though the other incident (bouncer beating the foreigner), I’m guessing they figured it’s just another night in Pattaya..

What a peculiar mental illness to have such a phobia of dental clinics that you want to attack them to defend yourself. He must have suffered terrible trauma at a dental clinic, poor man.

Yeah, he's gonna be in real trouble if one of those dentists knocks his teeth out for him while he's on the rampage.

What would he do then? 🤣

In Korat, a wave of anxiety has descended upon dental clinics following a series of violent outbursts by a 41-year-old German man. Dentists, represented by Wivat Chatwongwan of the Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Dental Association, have formally lodged complaints with the local police today, March 17, urging swift action against this foreign menace.

The man, seen in a viral video from a shopping centre on March 13, launched an aggressive tirade at a dental clinic, which escalated to him invading private areas and terrifying staff members. Worryingly, he has been on this rampage since November 2014, yet the issue remains unresolved.

In a particularly alarming incident, captured on 30 November last year, the man forcibly entered a clinic, attacking a female dentist by biting her lip and banging her head against a wall. This left her traumatised, unable to continue her work. Wivat highlighted the man’s unchecked aggression, compounded by his refusal to follow psychiatric guidance, which has allowed his behaviour to spiral dangerously.

Despite his marriage to a Thai citizen and settled life in Korat, the man’s actions have instilled widespread fear. His history of violence abroad and ongoing threats amplify the danger facing the local community.

The attacker’s erratic behaviour, reportedly self-medicated with marijuana since leaving psychiatric treatment in Germany, remains unchecked. Local authorities have yet to act decisively, leaving clinics under the constant shadow of his unpredictability. Wivat stressed the potential for future violent incidents, pleading for protective measures to safeguard the fearful community.

The ripple effect of his menacing actions has left dental professionals on edge, worried for their safety and the wellbeing of their patients, as the German's unsettling presence continues to cast a dark cloud over Korat, reported The Thaiger.

Other than the jails does Thailand have any facilities forthe mentally challenged.

Have to wonder if there is ore to the story seems to me that this guy should have already been dealt with.

The other side I think is that he has a familly that may be dependent on him.  I wondeer what he does for funds.  Let's face it things are hard all over and if sent back to germany he probably would end up onthe streets or in jail there.

Like usual. When nothing to gain financially they often don't act. Rotten to the core

Lazy "victims".  For B5,000 Somchai and a friend would make it so he wouldn't be walking.

Or a tooth whitening that made all his teeth shiny white but his front tooth crown was still a shade of yellow. Imagine how annoying that would be.

Perhaps there's more to this story, NOT MENTIONED IN THIS REPORT, which relates to dentists / his past experiences with dentists in Korat / anywhere?

Well, serious trauma and dental clinic go hand in hand. There is obviously method to the madness if he only attacks dental clinics.
