Thailand has intensified its stance on e-cigarettes, with individuals caught with these illegal items facing up to five years in prison and substantial fines.

So smoking at home should be legal without fines, asking for a friend as I dont smoke.

Many professional investigations say that vaping is just as dangerous re lung cancer as typical cigarettes.

My beloved Thai wife (a dr. of medicine) died of lung cancer (second hand smoke). My wife never smoked one cigarette in her life.

Her 2 sisters and 1 brother and her mother all died of lung cancer second hand smoke.

The smoker was her father, a chain smoker 23 hrs a day. He chain smoked at the meal table, he had a lighted cigarette sitting on the top of the shower wall at all times. He chain smoked in bed. The family car was always full of smoke, and his wife / kids had to have the next cigarette already alight to pass to him. Car windows always up (otherwise air-con can't cool the car).

After my wife dies my teenage Thai son got angry with his grandfather 'Why did you kill my mum?' Son's emotional outburst ignored / shrugged off.

So I support any moves to stop all forms of smoking.

This article is about vaping not the perfectly legal and far more poisonous from of ingesting nicotine which is cigarettes.  Banning vapes means more cigarette smokers which means more second hand toxic cigarette smoke.  Quite surprised you would be in favor of this crackdown based on your anecdotes, especially as this is a policy designed to get more people buying cigarettes from the government owned tobacco companies.

With all due respect, I must disagree: you are implying that your wife would of died from vape exhaust (which is almost all water vapor).

The fact is it is exceptionally unlikely she would have suffered nothing more than indignation if the air had been filled with vape exhaust.

Especially from vaping products approved by health authorities:  the only ones that would be available if a reasonable government policy was in place to regulate them.

The only evidence of serious harm from vaping has been proven to come from additives easily removed, since they are inferior and cheaper additives typically only used by low quality Chinese import vaping products that all have healthy, though slightly more costly, alternatives

I submit this video as proof of my words, and you will find plenty of links in this thread that point to peer reviewed studies that back that up:

Serious question: Is a dry herb "heater" (cannabis vape) considered a vaporizer? Chat GPT said no. If I took a "dry herb heater" on a plane, or it was found in my car, am I screwed? It's clearly not an electronic cigarette.

My wife passed away from second hand smoke from cigarettes smoked by her father. At that time vapes had not yet been invented.

So they want to protect everyone from possible dangers from e-cigarettes ?
People around me now massively switch to normal tabaco cigarettes

They are protecting some people, those in the tabaco industry.

Government should regulate it, they do the same with marijuana.
Check age of buyers and check quality of imported vapes...

Add tax on the sales and everyone will be happy.
