Thailand's Coastline Threatened by Melting Iceberg, Expert Warns

It's not about the actual ice sheet floating all the way to Bangkok, it's about it melting and raising the sea level.

Then we are back to this:

Melting icebergs do not raise sealevel. Melting glaciers and other ice and snow mass above sealevel are what cause sealevel rise.

Now I am really confused. Many years back, another Thai expert said that Thailand had nothing to fear from the melting icebergs simply because they were to far away from the Land of Smiles...😁

  • I think you're missing the science. An iceberg is a floating lump of ice, once it's floating, it can no longer change the sea level, even if melted. This is essentially different to a glacie

By the time it gets here ,Bangkok will be underwater and it will end up

half way to Chiang Mai , just imagine the crowds to view it , there's

100's that go up Doi Inthanon in the winter just to see frost ,

how on earth can one measure the sea level to such a degree of precision? 5.8mm     as if !    Its just a made up number

The mean value can be calculated to this scale using methods like GPS continuous data collection and processing, over several years.

No secret that places like Bangkok will be partially flodded by the rising sea levels. Say around 30 years ? later ? less ? Time to sell that condo in Bangkok and move to another Asian country.

as I suspected, manipulated and made up numbers, since when is gps accurate to 0.1 mm?  It isn't

Like covid experts and their vaccines. The subject everyone wants to avoid because almost all injected themself too.

Just posted a very worthwhile article addressing that specific subject on the 'Off the Beaten Track' sub-forum.

It delves into the 10 Million $ question > Why do people dismiss or refuse to acknowledge the evidence in front of them?

Well, it's a psyop for sure.

I've talked before about gematria and numerology.

5 + 8 = 13.

A sacred psyop number.

So yeah, it's BS.

I recall this same cabal of fraudsters pontificating that the tuna fish are disappearing, don't buy tinned tuna, don't contribute to global warming  climate change ....

But these are the same charlatans that fly their private jets to Davos to tell the lot of you that you must eat mealworm pancakes and curb your travel.

Last time I checked my supermarket the shelves were overflowing with tins of tuna (in spring water!) at a decent price point.

Hi, but the headline said: Thailand's Coastline Threatened by Melting Iceberg...

If it says Rising Sea Level, it must have made more sense though

solution is to have more polluting flights, and more tourists to eco damage everything. Welcome to Thailand logic.

Yes the OP is all nonsense. As said, icebergs are already in the sea, so melting has no effect on sea level. Also the bit about threats to plankton is crap too. Actually, the melting of the iceberg will release trapped nutrients and cause a plankton bloom (therefore good for fisheries in the Antarctic), There would be some disruption caused to South Georgia wildlife purely because of its size blocking part of the coastline probably for years.

Omg. This doesn't fit the The-Polar-Icecaps-Are-MeltingTM narrative. The sea level in San Diego, CA is doing what?  Going down?

My goodness.  We can't have that.  It must be "bad data."

Established in 1933, the Permanent Service for Mean Sea Level (PSMSL) has been responsible for the collection, publication, analysis and interpretation of sea level data from the global network of tide gauges. It is based in Liverpool at the National Oceanography Centre (NOC).

This is cherry picking. Sea levels in san Diego are rising, and have risen by about 6 inches in the last 100 years. Remember California is an earthquake zone (Subduction of the Pacific plate) which tends to cause uplift of continental crust. There is a reason why the Rocky mountains are on the West coast... so sometimes, in some areas, land goes up. elsewhere it goes down. Read the link below:

https://scripps.ucsd.edu/research/climate-change-resources/faq-sea-level-rise-and-california#:~:text=In the last 100 years,sea-level rise is accelerating.

If to lazy, here is an extract from the site

Quote

In the last 100 years, average global sea level rose roughly 15-18 centimeters (6-7 inches). In California, average sea levels measured by a tide gauge near San Diego reflect this global trend, with a rise of around six inches.
