I hope he will get a hefty fine to remember his whole life. And nice photos in newspapers, TV and other social media. Embarrassing incident.

He's a real disgrace.

I can understand any Thai to be angry letting those kind of people into the country.

I haven't seen any Thai in Europe with this kind of behaviour.

It's a shame to be farang if you see such useless creatures here in Thailand

No you don't see that same quality tourist when Thais's go abroad but you see plenty if the same behavior and worse here.

Is it a quality tourist if behaving like this creep?

"Eventually, they informed him that police would be called to take him away. At this point, the tourist suddenly regained his composure, stood up, and walked off as if nothing had happened."

Typical response from an attention-seeking, self-centered yob. Could'nt give a fu#%k about anyone but himself. Identifying himself as only American, as if he blonged to a great country and should be given respect. Only when he heard the word police did he have a  light bulb moment that it was time to pack up and go home. Useless twit!

It's Pattaya nothing surprises me any more 🥳

I am not happy its tarnishing  Pattaya,s  world renowned reputation as a world class family resort

But there could be worse things to worry about 🤫

Rescue workers in Pattaya faced a frustrating ordeal when a heavily intoxicated American tourist was found lying in the middle of a road, refusing assistance and insisting he was simply trying to sleep.

The quality in Pattaya is quite outstanding, TAT must be proud of their continued endeavours to crank up the numbers.

As if reaching 40 million is something to boast about

You've seriously never seen a Thai asleep on the pavement? And how many Thai men go to Europe? Hefty fine? What for? He wasn't hurting anyone either, just sleepy.. Before you ask, no, I have never done that, but live and let live, he's on holiday.

Probably he have warrants on him. That would be a reason not to associated himself  with the police.

Understand man, I understand you.

If you post a photo of the tyre tread marks on your thighs the AN sleuths will identify the maker and probably the vehicle. 🤣

I never said he was a quality tourist. What I said is Thai's act just as badly if not worse here so hard to say they they should be appalled. They invite this type tourist with their open visa schemes

Sunday Morning close to Mikes Shopping Mall on Beach Road I saw a drunk appeared to be Indian Man

walking down the middle of the road.  Cars and Buses going by honking at him but he didn't seem to care.

Motorbike Taxi and I said crazy foreigner, I guess he wants to die.

Lucky for him it was early.  Sure he didn't want to extend his vacation with a visit to a nice Pattaya Hospital.

silly old coot .....   wasting valuable rescue resources time for nothing.   they should have called the cops and locked him up.  Then fine him....

Too many gin & tonics? Likely just having a "Senior Moment".

Happens to the best of us.

Now.......where is my house?🙃🙃
