Hi Bob,

We were worried you had gone.

Hi BritManToo.

My name is Don, not Bob. Actually I don't live in Thailand, I live in Japan but I do go to Thailand quite often for holidays etc.

I just love it there, especially in the low season when there aren't many tourists around.

Don.

Hi there,

Does anyone else feel constantly bombarded by negativity, on the news, on social media, on TV etc?... Does anyone else feel like this is all planned?

Seems to be what forums thrive on ... click click click

I'm surfing while baking some Rye bread.  Looking for a place with a view to kill a few days, within 300 kms of the house.   Not having much luck, as been exploring the same area the past 7-8 yrs, and nothing perking my interest.

Can't go too far, too long, till the rains kick in, as the garden will get too dry, even with the self watering lines.  Along with things need to be picked when ready.

Might have to change tacks, and pick something 'in town' instead of surfside or in the hills.  With the smog, not much of a view anyway.

Come on rainy season :coffee1:

edit ... maybe I should have read @BritManToo's post first 🙄

Well I'm here to sprinkle a little positivity into your day.

I hope you are having a great one, whatever it is you are doing. I myself am enjoying a nice cup of green tea and reading a good book.

It's nice to be here.

Don.

What negativity are you talking about? You only joined 6 hours ago.  Yeah yeah yeah, you've lived here 30 years yada yada yada.

bob/Don, I am sorry for calling you bi polar. It is now quite clear what is going on with you and why you are on meds. Good luck.

Dissociative Identity Disorder (Multiple Personality Disorder) Dissociative identity disorder (DID) is a mental health condition where you have two or more separate personalities that control your behavior at different times. When personalities switch, you'll have gaps in your memory.

Happy Meal Donny. What more didn't we ask for? Bob, only one post and I I hate your new character already. Go back to being the drunk, angry, ladyboy pumping git you were before. Much more fitting!

You sound angry and depressed. Is everything OK?

Why not come to Japan - it might make you feel better!

A good finish with a hottie in the local "health parlour" and all is set for a great day....until you test positive for some nasty StD or skin infection....not being negative, it's just being realistic.

Not yet.  Someone suggested that before.  Thanks

Maybe after rainy season starts, get some water in the stream and some better vis.

It's quite simply that outrage drives views.  Internet and social media changed everything.

It's quite a sad thing to consider, really.  It's a shame you couldn't find something more positive to talk about.  😢

Hi, BangkokReady.

I'm sorry if my post has disturbed you, but my next one will definitely be more upbeat!

I have just returned home to Kobe and I'm definitely glad to be back. Everything is so clean and orderly - I don't think I will ever visit Thailand again during high season, it was far too chaotic for me this time around. I think I will come back in September 🙂

I hope you have had a fantastic day nonetheless!

Bob-the-knob, can't imagine you're going to be able to hold up this happy-slappy character for very long. You much prefer acting like the angry old minger. Good luck with it, but I give it a week and you'll be back as bob-the-ball-buster as usual.

Sorry, But i am incredibly confused.

I think Thailand may be getting to you!

You are right and the reality is that a lot of us live really well here and we have a lot to be thankful for. For me, it is about quality of life, and my level of fulfillment on a daily basis, which I seem to have here in abundance. A big factor here, is the relatively light hearted attitude of the people. You just do not find that in the US, where most seem bitter, disenchanted, unfulfilled, and heavy hearted. And many are struggling to make ends meet, in an environment that is stupidly over priced.

This is an entirely subjective topic, of course. But some of us have been fortunate enough to find an outstanding woman, who is delightful to be around, on a daily basis, always has our back, and is fun, smart, and lovely. For me, that likelihood of finding that back in the US, would be very low. So, that is a big factor for me.

Also you can live here on a relatively limited income, I can't do that in the US right now.

Interesting, I understand your fortune. If I may, what is it that fulfills you on a daily basis?
