Must be tough on you, no ladyboys to bumb you, but even worse for the hefty, miserable Mrs. Smith who can't get away from you over there in Osaka and have any young Thai lads come round to root her like she does when you are out on a bender in Pattaya. And only that Japanese food for 2 weeks, that's going to get rough. No more than Ramen and Gyoza, 24/7. Will you be back in time for Songkran in Soi 6/1? Thoughts and prayers.

I get up in the morning and feel a deep sense of well-being here in Thailand. I live in a smaller town so there's very little stress nor congestion, it's a quiet life, my expenses are relatively low and I'm with a woman that I adore. I have a lot of good foreign friends here and I'm able to keep myself busy and able to pursue my passions. And all the years I lived in the US I never felt fulfilled. They're living for 8 years in New York City during the eighties was pretty incredible. But, that was ancient history, and everything has changed now.

on the news - Mostly garbage waste of time but I indulge in the mornings. Trying to cut it back

social media - Delete it. Problem solved. Life is too short to be scrolling through narcissism and trash every spare minute.

TV - Garbage waste of time. TV is dying like the telephone IMO.

Reduce the dosage of daily misery.

Bad news has always made more headlines than good news, in all countries. It's human nature to be excited by stories of misfortune, sadly.
