Pattaya Boosts CCTV Coverage in Smart City Push

Pattaya is investing 2.1 million baht to upgrade its CCTV network as part of its smart city initiative. The expansion will boost camera numbers from 400 to 1,500 on the public LINE@pattayaconnect app, enhancing real-time monitoring for crime prevention, traffic flow, and flood management. City officials aim to reduce video feed delays from 20 to 5 seconds and improve coverage in remote areas like Koh Larn. With nearly 2,000 cameras already installed and 767 more planned, the upgrade positions Pattaya as a tech-driven city focused on safety and urban efficiency.
