Sorry, English is not my first language.

My brother, sister and I were diagnosed with bipolar disorder 10+ years ago. I was the only one given antidepressant rather than mood stabilizer.  I was given Lexapro, Zoloft, Cymbalta, Effexor, Wellbutrin, Remeron, trazodone and none of them works. Depression causes me to stay in bedroom for about 10 months.

I am currently 37 and I believe my first hypomanic happened last December, when I worked long hours with less sleep. I was given Zyprexa for about a month, then come mixed episodes in February and currently depressive episode for the last 30 days. I am currently getting the same drug Lexapro, which gives me dizziness and nausea, so I gave up again. I am so tired being in bed all the time and I am scared that current depression will last as long as the last one.

I live in Phichit and travel to Bangkok often. Please recommend psychiatry in private hospital, especially one that keep trying new medication, Thank you for your help.

Kudos that you are willing to help yourself and try new meds, as it could only be one or two that can help, and you never know until you try them. Understand the problem very well, and have, and are trying to help some. The list of people I know that have or had it isn't a small one, as it includes family and friends, some very close. Good luck finding the right doctor. Some are fast prescribing yet won't follow up correctly. One here told a close friend, after he put her on Prozac, if they don't want to take medicine, they don't have to, which is true but they should be talking with her and finding out how her life's going and has been going, and if things don't improve, recommending trying an alternative medicine.
