Pita couldn't become PM because the senate blocked him by refusing to vote for him.

He was cleared of the media shareholding charge.

And why did the senate refuse to vote for him?

The CC will find no reason to impeach her. The status quo must be maintained and the CC and EC are there to make sure of this.

It seems that Shinawatras family is above all lows... As they claim everybody is treated equal, than now they have to remove her from office too as they did with Setthra and others.. But again this clan seems to own Thailand and will be protected by their bribes

AS long as the envelopes keep getting passed out. There will always be something to get that family to dig deeper into their pockets to clear the messes. But make no mistake, Thaksin will make it all disappear. He will not have his daughter be forced to flee Thailand like he did.

Rubish !!

The final tally was 324 votes in favour, 182 against and 199 abstentions, among the 705 members participating. The Move Forward Party (MFP) leader needed 375 votes — a simple majority of the 749 combined House and Senate seats — to win the office.

they DID VOTE  but he did not get the votes to win  nobody blocked any thing

Well, this is why no Thai government can survive its term... because they are all corrupt and compromised one way or the other. You can't rise to such levels without being hopelessly criminal... which is a source of ammo for your haters. The cycle keeps going round and round and only one person holds the keys to power here... and we know who that is.

2019 – A new Senate, composed of 250 military-appointed members, was sworn in in the aftermath of the general elections held on that year. 2024 – After the Senate military-appointed terms expire, there will be an indirectly voted by the candidates from 20 professional and social groups to 200 members.

If you remember back in 2019 the senate had 250 military -appointed members, you could say who ever got in would have been out voted by the 250 military appointed members.

With Pita it was these votes that probably kept him out.

But now after 2924 the military appointed members terms expire, now they will be an indirectly voted by candidates from 20 professional and social groups too 200.

its obvious you have no idea     when pita was nominated for PM there was a vote the senate was included in the vote  Pita lost the vote and did not become PM     Now the senate term has expired  and will not be voting again for PM,   the senate can not vote for pm again it was only because of the junta that the senate was included

(now they will be an indirectly voted by candidates from 20 professional and social groups too 200)  this incorrect
