Popular Post StandardIssue Posted yesterday at 12:43 AM Popular Post Posted yesterday at 12:43 AM Dr. Sunchapop Pufinjai of the Thai Ministry of Health is currently campaigning for new legislation requiring all tourists be required to obtain licenses and health certification to use Marijuana and all cannabis products by 2026. He has stated that the number of tourists reporting to Thai hospitals with cannabis related health problems has been on the rise since the legalization of it's sale and use and has cost the Thai people upwards of millions of Thai Baht offsetting any potentional benefit to the Thai general public. 1 1 10

HappyExpat57 Posted yesterday at 01:07 AM Posted yesterday at 01:07 AM I was recently thinking about this after making a few short trips to Pattaya and seeing all the cannabis shops still going strong. Not long ago Thailand made threats to shut them down or highly regulate them, and we can see how that went. I would bet money this is just more lip service. 1

Next I will bet they try to shut down the shops again. It's a never ending wheel of confusion designed to take your money!

They fall under the same category as Cannabis because they occur in nature and are not produced in a laboratory or synthesized by chemists. 2

RSD1 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago It seems like the people in the health ministry are just trying to throw their weight around again to try and make their jobs seem relevant, but I don’t see this latest puff of smoke turning into anything. If they haven’t changed things in any way by now, it’s not going anywhere. I think most people in Thailand aren’t even focused on the subject anymore. It's found its place in local business and society and that's it. Plus, there are far more serious drug issues involving dangerous substances, and the country has too many real and pressing economic problems to deal with now than to shut down a billion-dollar plus industry that puts food on the table for tens of thousands of locals. 1

JimHuaHin Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Why "all" tourists, and not only those who plan to use? Will a 6 month old infant be required to go through this process?

Congratulations. What a pathetic troll you are. Only a pest would put up fake news and think it's a big giggle. You've just been added to my ignore list. Well done. 1
