The real reason tech companies back Trump

Featured Replies

An efficiency drive is a nice cover story but the real reason Musk, etc want to cripple federal government and return power to the states is their fear of anti trust legislation.

The government could break their powers of monopoly over data, and hence their immense wealth. Fear of a revival of legislation of regulatory reforms and anti trust prosecutions as started under Biden, and previously successfully conducted by Teddy Roosevelt against monopolistic practices, gives the tech bros sleepless  nights.

Wake up America and topple the barons.

It could also be a push for privatization like what happened in the Reagan administration. In that case a lot of military functions  we're privatized. That proved to be a huge cash Bonanza for formerly low paid military personnel who migrated to the private sector and cashed in big time. Money was not saved. In fact quite the reverse.

Massive companies go with where the wind is blowing as they are more interested in profit, not values... under Biden they were lefty, but suddenly shift under Trump to adapt to new realities to keep profits and regulations okay. Nothing to do with values, all about pragmatism in the current politcal climate... expect a new shift with their attitude in 4 years. Business is business and it's only about money... ethics.

The problem is, businesses are having a hard time keeping up with Trump's shifts. Who knows what he'll do from day to day?

With friends like Biden... they favor Trump because it is in their interest to do so. Why would they support a regime like Biden constantly attacking them yet expecting them to run interference and help him censor his enemies? Thankless job.
